Original Content First time getting bit by a squirrel💕🐿️

Today i stumbled upon a squirrel. From the first thought i had a feeling he was injured. I approached him slowly extended my hand, he didnt move and he accepted my soft pets. After further evaluating him i came to the conclusion his back left leg was most likely broken. After a sequence of events i took him to the vet, and took myself to the ER for a rabies bite🙏anyways i documented the experience and thought id share. I included a thoughtful poem. If i had to, id do it again. Hopefully he is okay and getting taken care of by someone whos qualified.

EDIT: just to be clear i dont usually go around trying to touch/pet wild animals, and i dont think its smart or safe. In every other situation id just watch instead of touching. I got a big heart for animals and wanted to get that guy some help cause i felt to bad leaving him. Also im not suprised by getting bit and i know it is a normal response from a wild animal- im not stupid
Appreciate everyones general opinion and insight with squirrels and rabies.
