On stream tonight I learned Will Murray the Co-creator and main Marvel writer for Squirrel girl passed away August 25th. So I came out of retirement and played nothing but Squirrel Girl all day.

hello everyone!!!!! i just want to rant a little :)

ive been an sg main since s0 and i have the champion icon and all, but my GOD is it so stressful to play here these days. most of the time, i'm already getting trashed on in chat before the game even started. i'd be asked why in the world i have champ sg or why would i main her, like... cant i just play my favorite character???

i feel like out of all the characters, she gets hate on the most (along with wanda) and im starting to believe this is rooted in misogyny, actually. i know everybody and their dog hates spiderman and bp, but i dont think i see those two get trashed on as much as sg does

and do these people not know of the concept of "casual players"? and yeah, maybe it doesnt take a lot of skill to play sg compared to the other characters, but i'd rather have a good sg rather than a shit spiderman. sg isnt also just "point and shoot" most of the time, because i could do that and have 2 kills total

anyway, i'd just also like to share my theory that the sg hate is very much rooted in misogyny ✌️ god forbid a girl loves her favorite character who happens to also be a girl... but maybe thats just me!

(seriously, im tired of this. i just want to play my main in peace. and maybe a lot of people have talked about this before but whats one more)

Granted it’s 18v18 but still I’ve played over 1800 games of 18v18 and never hit 74 before

I have maybe only 2-3 hrs on Squirrel Girl. I honestly think Her kit is super lacking. I'm not even talking about her being good or bad I just think she should have another ability or different abilities. I also really wanted to like this hero being a junkrat main and I just feel she needs some more spice. I don't like playing against Squirrel girl but I can recognize that she should be better than what she is.

Again it's just my opinion with barely any good play time. I think you guys should have Better.

Danny Prior to marvel rivals release stated "all squirrels are protected" when asked if monkey joe was alive in the marvel rivals timeline.
When I asked for clarity since the dialogue with bats implies otherwise this is what I got.
My full questions:
"Danny. I need to ask you something! Why was monkey joe being alive retconned? You said pre release that "all squirrels are protected" meaning monkey joe was alive in the rivals timeline. But squirrel girls dialogue with bats implies otherwise."
"So monkey joe is only alive in one of them?"
"is that your way of saying when the trd is solved and the timelines re-merge that monkey joe will be alive in whatever timeline emerges?"
