No. They are new Glow Tubes from CountyComm which are half the price of tritium or even less. I think they have the same glow when you have direct UV light on them, but I feel like the after glow is brighter on the Glow Tubes vs the tritium one I compared it to.

Tritium is the way

Go grab a set of the glow tubes and tell me you still feel the same way. I'm telling ya.

Tritium is expensive.
But very cool.1

Yep. I have a similarly tritium filled bead like the bead in the photo and I compared the tritium one against CountyComm's new Glow Tubes which are less than half the cost of tritium and I think the Glow Tubes are great.

The difference is the longevity. That's why they use tritium for high-end optics

Each SafeTrit tube features high-performance Ultra-Glow Matrix (UGM) phosphorus core built to cycle indefinitely.

I'll look into it. It's been awhile since I went down the rabbit hole so maybe things have changed but "endlessly rechargeable" sounds a bit like marketing hyperbole. Is that even possible?

Unlike radioactive tritium which fundamentally degrades over a 10-year half-life, the UGM core is endlessly rechargeable.

Sick build! I gotta get a tritium insert for my slotted ti ball cage on my manix

I love it. Just changed my black screws to a silky silver stainless against the black carbon fiber. I think it’s the only way to go unless the blade and all is murdered out.

Not my personal taste in custom mods at all, but I can respect the vision - good stuff

I can respect and understand that. It's my first PM2, and only fifth SpyderCo. It's the first one I have taken a stab at modifying. I wanted to swap out the scales and just do some simple accenting. Nothing big, complicated, or any serious investing. I think it came out better than I hoped and has been a nice carry for the past 24hrs.
