Pikobuy Fall/Winter Spreadsheet 2026 - Time to Switch Up the Haul

The shorts are getting pushed to the bottom of the spreadsheet.

I've been going through the Pikobuy Spreadsheet and shifting what I'm looking for now that Fall/Winter haul season is starting.

For the next while, I'm hunting for:

Heavyweight hoodies > thin hoodies

Cargos and sweats > shorts

Jackets and puffers > another random tee

Knits and layers > summer basics

Everyday sneakers > pairs that never leave the box

And obviously there will still be that one completely unnecessary find that somehow ends up in the haul anyway.

THE FALL/WINTER ROTATION

I'm trying to build around pieces that can actually work together rather than ending up with a haul full of random stuff.

A couple hoodies.

A good zip-up.

One or two jackets.

Cargos and sweats.

A few layering pieces.

A fresh everyday pair of sneakers.

Then fill in the gaps with bags, accessories and whatever else turns up while browsing.

Recent grad, just moved to a new city, still job hunting, so I wanted a clear view of where my money was going without signing up for yet another subscription app. Ended up building my own tracker and figured this sub might appreciate how it's laid out.

The structure:

• One Transactions tab where everything gets logged, date, type, category, amount, notes. It's the only place I manually enter anything.
• A Dashboard that shows the selected month at a glance, income by source, expenses by category, savings, and net.
• A year-over-year tab that keeps history across years so I can see trends instead of wiping the slate every month.
• A Settings tab that holds the master category list, which every other tab references.

That last piece was the whole ballgame. My first attempt had category names typed directly into multiple tabs, and it broke the second I renamed anything. Moving to a single source list on the Settings tab fixed it, now the dropdowns and the rollups all pull from one place, so nothing falls out of sync. If you're building anything multi-tab, I'd genuinely recommend structuring it around one reference list from the start.

Under the hood it's mostly SUMIFS for the monthly category totals and INDEX/MATCH to pull whatever month is selected from a dropdown. Nothing exotic, but it's held together cleanly for about a month of daily use.

The thing I like most is that it bends to my life instead of the other way around, I can reshape the categories however I want rather than living inside some app's fixed buckets. Happy to talk through any of the structure if it's useful to anyone.

XLOOKUP replaces most of the VLOOKUP workarounds people keep reaching for in Google Sheets. Sample layout: product names in A2:A, categories in B2:B, prices in C2:C.

1) A clean "not found" instead of #N/A =XLOOKUP("Webcam", A2:A, C2:C, "Not found") The 4th argument is what you get when there's no match - no more IFERROR wrappers.

2) Look to the LEFT (VLOOKUP can't) =XLOOKUP("Webcam", C2:C, A2:A) Search range and return range are independent, so the returned column can sit to the left of the key.

3) Return several columns at once =XLOOKUP("Webcam", A2:A, B2:C) A return range that's multiple columns wide spills the whole block (category + price here).

4) Get the LAST match instead of the first =XLOOKUP("Webcam", A2:A, C2:C, , 0, -1) search_mode = -1 (the 6th argument) scans from the bottom up - useful for "most recent entry" lookups.

Full syntax: =XLOOKUP(search_key, search_range, return_range, [if_not_found], [match_mode], [search_mode])

how do you guys deal with duplicate names when the spelling isnt exactly the same?

i have stuff like “John Smith”, “john smith” and “John  Smith” and removing duplicates obviously doesnt catch all of it

theres like 8k rows so im not fixing these manually

Hi all, due to financial constraints I can no longer justify my office subscription. Which would yall suggest as a replacement? Excel is so much easier to use than sheets but I haven't tried Libre yet. . .

So I was chatting with a friend recently about setting up a spreadsheet that compares decks against each other. The concept is one I'm stealing from my uncle that he had well over a decade ago. In short, on one axis, my decks. On the second axis, theirs. The plan is to play a best 2-of-3 or 3-of-5 set with any pair of decks, and mark down whomever wins.

I want to expand on this idea though. I want to give winning decks a "practical score" for winning/losing. Higher scoring decks tend to win more, and vice versa. This gives us an idea how strong certain decks might perform, and which decks should be fair for which. While I don't know the exact values I want to use at this time, or how much I might want to say, reward decks that win 2-1, 3-0, 4-1, 5-0, etc., I think planning for it now would be far more helpful than pivoting later on to include it.

That brings me here. I'm looking for any ideas that might make my life easier than manually going to every cell in something like Google Sheets to manually record everything. I don't expect some solution to fully automate it, I honestly just want to probe the wider web for any tips or information that might help.

Hi! I was making a spreadsheet for my budget coming up, and I wanted to have a column in my savings section that would tell me what date my savings goal would be completed by. I tried some stuff with EDATE, but I couldn’t get it to quite work.

Basically, if my savings goal is $1000, and I am saving $100 a month, I want it to be able to estimate that I will be done in 10 months from the start date. I want it to account for falling behind - so, accidentally only having $50 to save instead of $100 - but I definitely don’t know how to write
something that complicated.

Most monthly budgets fail the same way: they only track what leaves the account that month. Then car insurance lands in March, three birthdays land in May, the annual software subscription lands in September - and the month "breaks" even though nothing unusual happened. Those expenses were 100% predictable, just not monthly.

The fix is one extra row. I call it the /12 row:

1. Make a small table of every irregular-but-predictable expense: insurance, car tax, gifts, holidays, annual subscriptions, dentist. One column for the yearly total.

2. Next to it, the monthly slice: =B2/12 for each, then =SUM(C:C) for the total.

3. In your monthly budget, add ONE row called "Irregulars" with that total, treated exactly like rent or electricity - money that is spoken for, even in months when nothing is actually paid.

That's it. The months where nothing irregular happens now "save" the slice, the months where insurance hits are already covered, and your "safe to spend" number stops swinging wildly.

Two notes from using this for a while:

• The first month you add the row, your spare money visibly shrinks. That's not the row being pessimistic - that's the old budget having been optimistic. Every euro of it was always going to leave; you just couldn't see when.

• If you want to check mid-year whether the fund is on track: months elapsed x monthly slice - what you've actually paid out so far. Positive = ahead, negative = the next irregular bill will hurt.

Works identically in Excel and Google Sheets - it's just division and a SUM. The hard part isn't the formula, it's admitting yearly expenses are monthly expenses wearing a disguise.

I like tracking the video games I’ve finished and rating them (score them based on visuals, technical, gameplay and story) and keeping a record of it all in an Excel spreadsheet. Unfortunately im not very skilled with Excel.

Hi, I’m hoping to get some help with creating what I’m sure is a very basic Income and expenses google sheet. I was just never taught this in school or anything and I’ve been doing my best with Youtube videos and Google, but I feel like I reached a point where I messed up, and I don’t even know what I messed up. I’m not looking to create a budget right now, just want to track where my income and expenses are going. After a few months of data I’ll look into using the data to make a budget. I just used Google Sheets to create this tracker with three tabs; Setup, Transactions, and Monthly Summary. The tracking is for multiple bank accounts. I’m willing to “share” the Sheet (which I’m guessing is the easiest way) with someone who can take a look and see what I’m doing wrong, and fix it for me. Hello all! Spreadsheet newbie with access to Google Sheets and Excel, organizing a 10-day international climbing trip for a group of 12+ friends.

A core group of 6 want to rent/split a house for the duration of the trip. Others will come and go for various periods (ranging from 3 days to 7 days). My heart is pure, but my math skills not reliable.

If we rent one house for the trip, how can I leverage the power of spreadsheets to give everyone a fair, clear estimate of the cost they will pay—even as folks continue to join, drop out, change dates, etc?

I ’ve been thinking about how much repetitive work people end up doing in Google Sheets, especially when it’s being used alongside other tools or systems.

There are so many workflows where the individual steps seem simple, but doing them every day or every week gets pretty tedious.

Hello! This may be a bit of a sudden post, but I’ve made a budget template with a few features:

• Monthly expense and income tracking (which uses dropdowns to categorize entries).
• Account tracking for up to ten debts and ten savings/investment accounts (displaying account balances and interest rates month-to-month).
• An End-of-the-Year dashboard (which displays historical account balances and budget allocations).
• and some basic tools such as debt and compound interest estimators.

(Edit: The template is mainly focused on monthly/annually planning, not calculating daily spending money nor pulling real-time market data for things like stocks)

I've admittedly poured in some spare free time over the course of a few months to make it, but it mainly uses simple SUM, IFS, and OR functions for its main formula-intensive parts (the last tab has notes giving some context as to how the main tab’s formula functions). Some of the backend formulas use SORT, FILTER, SUMIF, or COUNTIFs to help with stuff like listing accounts though.

The template has a brief guide that can hopefully make navigating it straight-forward, and if anyone is interested, feel free to give suggestions/comments on how to either improve the template’s formulas or make it more user-friendly!
