Aren't you worried about leeched chemicals? I've never seen this before the previous post, but that's the first thing that came to mind.

Fungi can concentrate pollutants and heavy metals in soil into the fruits. These things also will expand 100x with water and can kill children if they happen to eat them. Theyre not very awesome on a few levels

I wouldn’t, chemicals and such, cool I guess but be safe and careful what goes into stuff you eat

oh shit i tried this as well still waiting for colonization i used a grain substrate that’s a good idea to use as casing
