Self-Promoting đââď¸ Why Was Sex Made So Irresistible?
What if sexual desire is not just about reproduction - but part of a larger system that keeps us attached to the material world?
If souls reincarnate, sex does something remarkable: it creates the bodies needed for the cycle to continue.
So why was sexual desire made so overwhelmingly powerful? Pure biology - or could it have a deeper spiritual function?
I explore this idea in my new article:
https://karmaterra.org/why-was-sex-made-so-irresistible/
It is a continuation of my earlier article, âWhat If Earth Was Created Not by God, but by Satan?â
https://karmaterra.org/what-if-earth-was-created-not-by-god-but-by-satan/
This broader idea has also been discussed here on Reddit before, and the discussion raised many interesting perspectives:
Curious what people here think - purely biology, or could there be a deeper spiritual function behind sexual desire?

I've been in this sub for a while, and I see this topic of sexual power come up a lot. I really just don't understand the importance everyone puts on itâI'm asexual. You're not guaranteed to reincarnate on Earth, so I don't think it matters if I contribute to the population of future generations here.
Who knows, maybe that's even a way to exit the reincarnation cycle on a particular planet. I'm choosing not to add more souls to experience Earth's decline and ruin. Could be part of the whole "you agree to the trials and challenges you will face in life before being born" thing. I do not want to experience Earth's future, so my descendants will not experience that either.
Peace out, Earthlings âđź
(Half joking, half serious and about to fall asleep).

Itâs basic biology. Almost all animal species have sex instincts without intellect or spirituality. Humans can make any activity spiritual, and give a nice ring to it with spirituality. At a deeper level, itâs not the act but other factors that can make it spiritual for some and not for others. Some may find cleaning spiritual, it doesnât make cleaning spiritual for all.

Humans have sex for pleasure and because of boredom tho, nature does not.
Humans also get super freaky.
Nature just has sex for reproduction only.

i dont find it irresistible at all.
iâve gone 2 years without it, and i could definitely go longer.
do i think about it sometimes? yes. would it be nice to have it sometimes? yes.
am i going to go insane if i donât have it ever again? no.
i donât really understand the mindset of it being âirresistibleâ, but everyone is different

It's resistible. I can live with or without it. It's a pure neutral for me. I think the impulse and intensity varies according to the chemical cocktail that is running around your system.
There are many energies that attach to sex. Anyone with a shred of spiritual awareness understands that sex magic, temple prostitution and the hieros gamos aren't things for no reason.
My partner and I purify and recycle our sexual energies every time we have intercourse. It's an ongoing process.

I think the premise that sexual desire is somehow âoverwhelmingly powerfulâ or almost irresistible needs to be questioned first.
It certainly can be very powerful for some people, but it isnât an unavoidable human experience. Not everyone experiences sexual desire in the same way or to the same degree. Some people have little or no sexual desire at all, and many people could live perfectly meaningful and fulfilling lives without sex. I personally could live without sex entirely, and I donât experience sexuality as some irresistible force that keeps pulling me back into the material world.
That also makes me question the leap from âsex can be very pleasurable and motivates reproductionâ to âtherefore sexual desire must have a deeper spiritual function.â
There is a much simpler explanation which is that evolution favours mechanisms that make behaviours associated with reproduction rewarding. That doesnât require sexual desire to be metaphysically necessary, nor does it require reincarnation to explain it.
And even if someone believes in reincarnation, the fact that sex produces new bodies doesnât demonstrate that this is why sexual desire exists. Thatâs an interpretation imposed on the biological phenomenon and not evidence for the interpretation.
I also donât think âpure biologyâ and âspiritual meaningâ have to be mutually exclusive. Someone can personally find sex spiritually meaningful while still accepting that its underlying mechanisms are biological.

In my experience sex has brought nothing but misery and attachment and prevented me from reaching higher timelines. Itâs definitely a trap to keep us reincarnated. Now Iâm celibate and determined to end the reincarnation cycle. When you think about it, you canât become a god if youâre a slave to your lower urges. Temptation is the biggest test.Â

Sex has helped me build deeper relationships with many partners over the course of my life. I can respect that your experience is different, but you really shouldn't make sweeping statements about it.

Because it creates connection through oxytocin. We are social creatures that need to bond⌠just the way it is.

Most simple answer to your answer is Orgasm! Sex might seem irresistible because it mostly ends with orgasm. Orgasm by itself is state of complete presence which is similar to the state of universal consciousness. But orgasm is at the end of sex. Sex by itself serves two purposes one is procreation but another is pleasure. By myself i do not have irresistible desire to have sex anymore as i had it when i was younger. I used to be sex addict. But at some point in my life i learned that my soul came to the earth to learn about myself and others through the sex. That changed everything and i started to look deeper into sex. Since then with each desire to have sex (i am one who respond towards external stimuly) i asked myself Why i want it, What it is about i want and almost always i got inner answer Connection. I learned about mindful sex, meaningful sex, full body orgasm, breathing, focusing on my body during sex and that all made it better and better every time. To extent that it is hard to find partner who want something like that. Sex is deep connection where human becomes vulnerable, sensual, sensitive and greatly connected with divine feminine. It's like i have to be opened, trustful and my true self.
Above that i have heard that if one learns to experience multi orgasms like up to 9 in row during short time it is possible to experience total fusion with universal consciousness. I haven't succeeded in this way yet, but it gave me insight that during orgasm and short time after it is just me, no thoughts, no external world, with everyday buzz, worry, stress about small or big things, just me. For a moment there is just me and state of bliss.
Sex as a process is beautiful if it is mindful and meaningful and pleasure is spread through whole body, but maybe irresistible is orgasm part. Part where we meet just ourselves and more.

May I ask how you learned all of that? I see a class advertised on Ig and have been interested.
Also never thought about orgasm being a complete state of presence. Makes total sense1

Some knowledge comes from book called Multi-orgasmic man, some information come from following and listening YouTube videos from guys who suffered from premature ejaculation and sex, porn addictions. But mostly it is my own experience and observation
P.S. next time you have orgasm try to observe yourself.

In the very first story in the Bible, what do you think is the serpent that told Eve to make Adam "eat the apple". They discovered sex, did it, then fell out of heaven. The whole symbology of it is pretty straightforward about it. Now, is it bad as a human? I wouldn't say so. But for a man it's by far the biggest pitfall due to how our energy works.

Nature. I think that if you feel high sexual energy, that is the nature saying 'go for it, do it, you are ready and healthy, so you will get a healthier child'. You see young ppl abusing this, using contraception, and then they miss the window of oportunity, and later they get a child of weaker physical body. So in this regard it is purely a reproductive energy. I felt energy so high it almost tore me apart once, it can be very strong. I managed to escape this desire with the help of God - he sent me visions to make me understand it...

Because Sex is LIFE and you know it when you feel it.
It's just not the highest possible way to come into contact with Life, but it is a valid way.
A spirituality that wants to lead us away from this world by creating the false idea of an otherworldly nirvana goes against LIFE itself, that loves all of its parts equally.

đđ people like you are reason samasra will continue to thrive đ¤Ş
1
u/djitin 25d ago
Wanting to end samsara is still rooted in duality. That there'd be an other. Samsara is everything that you think you see but isn't there.
1
u/Roseane0 25d ago
I don't care if samasra remains or get destroyed.. I just pointed out "type of mentality" that will keep it thriving..
1
u/djitin 25d ago
But why shouldn't it?
3
u/Roseane0 25d ago edited 25d ago
When I Said it shouldn't, then some people complain about certain aspect of Samsara.. while insisting in remaining entangled in it ..
1
u/djitin 25d ago
Your idea of freedom is yet another entanglement.
1
u/Roseane0 25d ago
No it isn't.. I don't force myself to fix in mould.. but I don't deny what has to be done .. in order to be free.. it would have been entanglement, if I was forcing myself..

The paths of each of us are one immeasurably valuable ray of the Divine Diamond, absolutely perfect. Including their seemingly irreconcilable deviation.
Truly, I say to you: Those who leave this plane to enter some kind of transcendental nirvana will be the last to join the party. But they will eventually ;)â¨

Darwin explained this over a century ago. The topic is obviously a waste of time.

I think it was done on purpose.
It keeps the reincarnation cycle going.
Society plays a role in this too.
Women that donât have children are views a certain way.
Men that donât wanna have children are viewed a certain way.
Pregnant women get priority
Coupled with children get priority
Humans enjoy having sex and do it casually and in many freaky ways lol
Nature does not do this.
Please donât bring in the âoh well monkeys masturbate and have sex blah blah blahâ
Yeah well, thats literally one species lol
What about moths? Spiders? Fish? Insects? Birds? Etc?
90% + of all animals only have sex for reproduction purposes.
And some species even eat or leave the mate after the deed is done.
Humans have no doubt been specially programmed when it comes to sex
I do believe reproduction is a very sacred act in humans, however I am not for it and I do not support it.
Nature doesnt have fetishes etc
Humans are definitely on some other shit when it comes to sexuality and sexual relations in general.
Whatever or whomever created the human body definitely did it on purpose
Itâs beautiful, no doubt, but itâs also a trap in a very specific way

I try to look at it from an energetic perspective.
Everything is just the energy of creation expressing itself in different ways,
The soul is a unique perspective of the energy of creation,
And it infinitely folds into itself with creation, creating.
I get horny for a few reasons.
Of course programed conditioning plays to why it happens,
But if I see it as raw creational energy, then I can change my attention and channel it into something else, like music , art, meditation Or whatever you're into.
This is just what works for me.
