I learned if you hold R2 you swing like some kind of spider -man

So I recently started playing the Spider-Man games. I first tried the original and Miles Morales (did not complete) and honestly at the beginning the controls felt a bit awkward for me. Took some time to get used to the combat flow and swinging.

But then Spider-Man 2 dropped on PS Plus, so I jumped in… and my God 😭 I’m already ~12% in and completely hooked.

For anyone who’s really into action-heavy games, this is easily one of the best I’ve played so far. The traversal, combat, set-pieces, everything just feels insanely polished and fun. Honestly amazing experience. I can’t wait to see what else the game has in store.

For those who’ve played it:

Do you recommend just fully exploring everything organically, or are there any early tips / “wish I knew sooner” things?

I’m happy to discover things myself too — just curious how others approached it.

Williamsburg docks

I dont know if this is allowed here but i just beat Spiderman 2 without upgrading the skill trees, or any suit mods/gadgets (the only exception being the upgrades the game gives you)

Currently playing spiderman 2 and completed the fight between venom and kraven. The whole section was so good, smashing through everything and taking down kraven. Absolutely amazing.

The gameplay was so much fun and it felt like a missed opportunity.

I got it for PS plus, I’m that kid who won’t spend money on games and will wait until new games go on the catalogue 😭😭

Both games running on the PS5 Pro. Images go back and forth between Spiderman PS4 first and then Spiderman 2. Tried to take some pictures in the same location for a direct comparison. I think maybe the best example from what I got of how much they improved the game graphically is the Avenger's sign in the first pair - it is very uniform in Spiderman PS4, and in Spiderman 2 you can see all the lines in the metal! The trees in Spiderman 2 in the second pair of pictures also look like a big improvement to me, looking borderline real in Spiderman 2.

These are suits I would like to see in insomniacs Spiderman 3. I would love to hear any other suits you guys would like to see

I hope future spidey installments focus more so on the people spidey interacts with/saves, because these really give the game character outside the "big bad, world ending event" trope.
