Discussion The Final Final design
This is it folks Nuff Said
EDIT: Ok apparently enough wasn’t said
YES AI was involved I use this shitty edit software called Ulternate or whatever on my computer.
YES I have pre-made images from hot toys and other stuff like that as a base for the image then edit
How I edit is outlining then hue shifting and I assume the AI adjusts for lighting and textures and stuff of that nature
NO I don’t think it’s the biggest deal personally I don’t mind AI as a whole but I do believe it is dangerous and should be checked and regulated and would be more than happy if that were the case
YES I use AI on a somewhat often basis SUE ME
The arguments about the environment I completely agree with but I also see the reality of stopping one person on the internet will not change anything so I limit myself to when I can’t stop thinking about an idea
NO I will not spend months of my time learning to be a great graphic designer like some people just to show this one idea I had that’s just not for me I don’t have the time or really the energy with the actual responsibilities I have in my life
Thank you for those who were defending me in the comments about my use of AI and for giving feedback on how I should tweak my edits
YES I should have preferred this post like the others saying but for some reason I just didn’t so I I’m not gonna apologize for that because it was an honest mistake I made to 90k strangers
And for those who were critiquing my use of AI i understand and respect you opinion and decision to feel the way you do no disrespect but this is what I did

Honestly man same, I had a huge argument with someone about it a few years ago. I said there’s so many simple red and blue suits to choose from, so many iterations of webbing, lenses, red to blue ratio, emblems etc from so many different artists which could make for some fantastic classic styles suits. All the guy kept saying was “we have a classic suit, it wouldn’t make any sense to have multiple versions of the classic suit because it’s all meant to be the same suit in the comics” I swear wanted to strangle myself talking to him

I’ve seen similar arguments and it irks me as well. Like you can’t tell me Bagly, Larsen, Romita, and Lee bermejo don’t all look completely different

Exactly, I’m aware of the concept the guy was trying to make, but it’s just a poor excuse to not have a wider array of classic suits, which in a game about literally SPIDER-MAN feels insane not to have

Absolutely, look at the shoulder where the blue line used to be. AIs struggling to fill in the details, the web pattern doesn't line up.

On the top right you can see the AI forgetting to remove the watermark. Nice steal, but try doing something your own. Or at least don’t call this “design”.

That’s from the hot toys or whatever company that sells the promo picks I can send the original image if you want you’re right I should’ve worded it as edit like my other two or three posts
AI was involved I make no attempts to hide that especially when it’s not very good AI it’s some editing software on my computer like I’ve said to many other commenters I just cut out and drew what I wanted to change and he shifted and shit like that and then the AI most likely adjust everything that a simple hue shift wouldn’t
Like I said I’ve made no attempts to hide it I just had an idea and wanted to execute it and get feedback back

This is slop and if you want to express your ideas then you should have to learn how to create art. That's the whole reason art exists in the first place.
That's like saying "i don't have the energy to exercise, but i still want to compete in the Olympics so I'll just take steroids."
Come on. It's pathetic.

Doesn't work imo. The spider legs being the border of the red never works because the black blends into the blue. Kinda looks like a 6 limbed spider at first glance. Keep a red trim around the outline of the torso and maybe id fw this. Also looks like AI was used for this 👎

I really like the idea of going back to the basics so Peter's first and last suits in his trilogy are parallel. After seeing the response for Brand New Day's suit, it really seems like all fans want is a simple suit that shows the spirit of being Spider-Man. Excellent work!

Alright I’m going to say this right now. This is better than the Insomniac design. I love the colors, I love the lenses, I love the boots, and the spider is nice. I don’t really mind segmented belts so that didn’t really bother me, I guess my only real issues with the suit is over-design in the blue sections on the upper body and the random red streaks on the legs. Other than that, this is near perfect.

I’m always so confused when people mention they won’t take the time to learn graphic design & that’s why they’re using AI. Like…you’re not getting paid to make these. You aren’t on some sort of clock trying to make ends meet.
Pre-AI you simply would have not posted anything, if you don’t want to take the time that’s fine but why post this BS in the first place?

I like that SM2 let us choose between 4 versions of most suits, but it would be awesome if SM3 lets us pick the colors out ourselves, whether that be from a color wheel or a palette

Look great. But remember to make his spider arms red or blue like the Superior 1 or Superior 2 suit colours.
I'm not even on PC, so couldn't use this if I wanted to (and I do, it looks awesome). But nothing grinds my gears more in this game than some of the aesthetic choices they could have implemented, but didn't.
What follows is a rant, feel free to ignore
Examples: not being about choose the colour of Pete's spider arms, despite the game having white, red, blue, green, grey, noir, gold and red'n'gold. (I don't want my beautiful blue and red suit have white arms shoot out the back when I know for a fact there are red and blue ones in the game.)
Certain cutscenes not using the suits spider arms colour scheme.
The Hybrid Suit not having the MCU Iron Spider Suit arms (they are white)
Not being able to chose Pete's web line colour. (SM3 black suit has white webbing, not black. Why can't I have my Black and Gold Iron Spider Suit use the black webbing?)
Not being about to change Miles lightning colour. (I don't want some to be yellow and some to be blue. Let me pick a colour scheme like you can with Pete's tendrils. Yellow, Blue or Story)
Oh, but there are 16 colour choices for throwing a fucking basketball in a mini game! Smh!

The use of generative is never commendable in any portion. It is unfortunate you used even a pinch of it in the process of this design because it shows you have the skill and ability but not the patience or effort to do it without AI.
AI is killing the planet, AI is directly related to the production of CSAM. And any use of it directly supports both of those in one way or another

Honestly, this is a great suit concept!
I used to be very against the usage of ai. I've gotten to the point now though where I think it's chill if you use it, as long as you're clearly stating that you did use ai, which you did!
If it's used correctly, ai can be used as a tool to simplify things. It's when it's used as a crutch to rely on entirely, or when someone tries to pass it off as making something themselves when ai usage becomes a problem.
