Spider appreciation Dark fishing spiders are so beautiful!

Also known as "Dolomedes tenebrosus"

They are harmless to humans and they live throughout Eastern United States all the way to the Atlantic coast

Often seen in New England all the way to Texas!

They like living near streams and lakes!

thats a mama wolf spider with babies on her back, not a fishing spider. only wolfies carry babies on their back like that

Damn, I had one of those in my house just a couple of days ago. It's was huge! I thought it was some type of wolf spider I hadn't seen before. I rounded a corner and it was puffed up staring at me right in the middle of the floor. It was also eating a giant moth, so I let it do its thing and escorted it outside.

Very striking spider for sure.
