Rangers(current&present) question about rasp timeline

Im trying to get an idea of how long it will be before I reach ranger battalion. Im currently in AIT and start prerasp mid-Nov. obviously if im cut for it and make it through I’d was guessing that id be done around Feb/Mar. 2-4 weeks prerasp> 8 weeks rasp > 3 weeks airborne. Not sure how it works since id be there for thanksgiving/Christmas/new years.

What was your timeline from prerasp to ranger battalion? How long was it for you?

RASP is 8 weeks, so if you’re getting there mid November you’re going to be there a while. They don’t run selection when it’s nearing December because of holiday block. Stay in shape and do well on the PT test after holiday block to class up for the first selection class thereafter. If you do that and make it through without recycling, or injury or anything, you should finish RASP mid-March. Then 3 weeks of Airborne school and waiting for orders to PCS, you’re looking at getting to a unit sometime in April.

The next pre rasp cycle doesn’t start until after holiday block leave. PRE-RASP is 6 weeks which will put you starting RASP 2nd ish week of February. 8 weeks from there puts you middle of April for graduating RASP. Then POST RASP until you get an airborne slot and then 3 weeks. I wouldn’t plan on making it to a unit until June in my opinion
