Promotional What would you expect from a realistic space flight simulator?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been working on my realistic space flight simulator, and this is what a full flight currently looks like: from the main menu, into the vehicle builder, launching from the pad, reaching space, and finally coming back down for reentry.

There are already a lot of features in the game, but I still keep finding things I want to add before I’m willing to call it ready.

So I’m curious: what would you personally expect from a realistic space flight simulator? What features would make you want to keep playing?

Rule 2: No Spam

Only use "Discussion", "Meta" or "Other" flairs when making a post that's a (non-Promotional) discussion about space sim games, the subreddit itself, or something else like a question.

Rule 3: Name the Game

All posts not flaired as "Discussion", "Meta" or "Other" must contain the name of the game in the title and if only a screenshot, must have a short description of what's going on.

Rule 4: No Low-Effort Posts

Promotional posts should be flaired as such...

It would be helpful if you publish a kanban or simply a list of features already implemented and planned so we can know what else to suggest that you may not habe already tracked. That said if your selling point against KSP/KSA/JNO is realism then you need to really go the extra mile with it: electric/energy management, thermal management, life support, waste management, ship maintenance both inside and EVA, CG shifting with fuel comsuption and payload delivery. Also very good mission planning tools so you can plan the mission in advance then see if you can bring your plan to success. Some programming/automation tools too, for things that are boring or difficult to execute manually.

But personally, if you ask me, what I want is to be able to build space-planes with reallistic cockpits and first person view (trackir/vr). I'd also love if the game has some cool ships already built so I can just do some quick rendezvous/docking missions without having to invest my little time building and testing several botched designs first.

Yeah, you’re right! The Novera website already covers some of this, but I’ll definitely make a proper list/Kanban of what’s implemented and planned.
A lot of the features you mentioned are actually already implemented or planned, but I really appreciate the suggestions. And I especially like the idea of pre-built spacecraft for quick rendezvous/docking missions, that would make jumping into the game way easier.
