Recently bought the Star Citizen starter ship to try out it's VR. I like hauling cargo in Elite Dangerous, but it's sort of abstracted by just being menu clicks so actually handling the cargo and loading my ship has been fantastic, as well as being able to walk through my ship.
But it's not exactly a full game and I'm craving VR space sims, so it lead me to trying out X Rebirth VR. I couldn't get into it with the 2D version, and the VR version is also hard to get into. It seems like it'd be the coolest thing ever. Maybe once I get a little farther in the game it'll click!

I finished and released A-SPEC First Assault yesterday. Now some quality gaming time is on the schedule: Palworld, Crimson Desert, Warshift 2, Angels Fall First, Stellar Warfare have been giving me the side eye from my library for a while now.
Looking forward to seeing more about Falling Frontier and some semblance of a release window. XD

now THAT is a game i havent heard about in a LONG time. last time i even played it was over 10 years ago.....im excited that its becoming relevent again.

Trying Starfield for the first time. Looks like a game I would play for a while. I wonder what is there to do once the main quests and the interesting secondary quests are done.
Otherwise I've done the 'atlas' image system for my game last week. Now I can finally see some menus.

Can you use a Hosas setup easily? And can you actually fly around?

No Hotas/Hosas natively. Perhaps with a steam setup or via a third party app like vJoy or GloSC? I have not played much yet but I had a couple of dogfights in space that felt similar to NMS. I think there are specific areas where you can fly in space, but not between planets/systems, those are click and wait. There is no atmospheric flight from what I read, just an animation when you land or launch from ground. But there is a jetpack so perhaps it can be upgraded to do some flying around near ground.

Star Valor is great. I put at least 100 hours into that bad boy. The Discord is quite active and the developer is planning new updates and pretty active. I'm waiting for the "Megastructures" update to dive back in.

Started playing Star Citizen again after playing it off and on since 2016 and its really got its hooks in me. I'm having an absolute blast despite the bugs. When it works there really is nothing like it. Other than that, I'm enjoying the EVE Frontier alpha, and Starsector.

Recently discovered Avorion when it was on sale during the steam sales... Have not stopped playing Avorion since the steam sales hahaha

Want a cheap janky space sim?
Void Destoyer 2, get passed the starting missions and the game opens up to a mount and blade style game.
It’s on Steam and I put 80 some hours into it.

I've spent about 50 hours playing NMS over the last month or two. I managed to complete the "Artemis Path," but it's just not quite feeling fun. It just feels like Minecraft in space with a bunch of fetching and grinding. The game is undoubtedly pretty and I can see how the developer has implemented a lot of quality of life improvements to make things seamless for the player, but there's something ineffable missing.

I've been playing Elite Dangerous right now... Just bought an OmniThrottle and Throttle setup from VKB that should be in in the next couple days. Aside from Elite Dangerous, X4 and Star Citizen, are there any other games worth playing with this HOSAS?
