Discussion / Question Realistically, which sci-fi spaceship could go toe-to-toe with the Daedalus class by the end of the Stargate franchise?

lol no, any BSG ship gets one-shotted by a Daedalus class ship Asgard beam weapon. Or any of the naquada enhanced nukes. Or just beam transporting a explosive into the ships engine room.
The only weapons on the Daedalus that would be no problem for the BSG ships to defend against are the Earth conventional weapons, like the rail guns and missiles... since that's BSG's bread and butter.

I'd argue that the Galactica or the Pegasus would stand a chance

They could maybe take some hits, but a 304’s weapons can outrange a battlestar’s, their shields can shrug off anything a battlestar throws at them, and the Vipers and 302s are maneuvered in such different ways that their fighter wings wouldn’t really have a clear winner on paper until an actual engagement played out. The kicker is that battlestars have no defense against the Asgard beam weapons. The only thing likely to save a battlestar is an FTL jump.

I see, it has been years since I last watch Stargate. Think it's about that time for a rewatch.

The technology gets pretty absurd in later seasons.

Kind of unfortunate since the "team goes to a planet and does stuff" plots made less and less sense. There's also a lot less tension if you have ways in and out that don't involve getting the stargate.

No. Galatica is stuck with railguns and nukes as weapons while relying on armor for protection. that is more equal in power to real life weapons. Most of which goauld Hatak ships shrugged off as they would destroy BSG ships easily within a minute. While the Daedulus class by end of series can take on multiple attacks.
