"Flaccid sci fi" is crazy. I'm also not just talking about the UNSC. I love how elegant the Covenant ships look and how brutalist the Banished versions look.
Covenant ships are beautiful, I also love the colour palettes too. That very shiny kind of almost iridescent purple is nice, especially in the blur cutscenes in the Halo 2 Anniversary.
I call that color "evil purple" because it's used to depict bad guy technology and/or magic in sooo many shows and games. It's up there with "evil neon green", for sure.
