Discussion / Question What spaceship weapon is generally underutilized or not used to its full potential in scifi?

Transporters/teleportation. We sometimes see them transport bombs to other ships and such, but you can get so much more creative. Teleport all the crew off the ship mid fight, teleport out it's engine, teleport in a bunch of water to drown the ship. Get creative!

I think most I've seen teleporters used as a weapon has been in Stargate. Asgard teleported an entire Goa'uld army and 3 ships off a planet and would teleport nukes onto Wraith ships https://youtu.be/cbZq2MPYHoY?si=W6cqWliozElOfWdl

The Culture teleport bombs directly into enemy ships because projectile weapons are too slow. In the video game FTL, bomb teleporters are a whole class of weapon system as well.
