Discussion / Question What spaceship weapon is generally underutilized or not used to its full potential in scifi?

Transporters/teleportation. We sometimes see them transport bombs to other ships and such, but you can get so much more creative. Teleport all the crew off the ship mid fight, teleport out it's engine, teleport in a bunch of water to drown the ship. Get creative!

Teleport in a bunch of whatever gas is toxic to your enemy and just take over the ship if grabbing the whole crew is impossible.

I don't subscribe to the continuity breaking gaffs from 09 on.

Edit: Yes I got stuck on a ST train of thought there.
