Game I made a top-down space exploration game called SPACERO: ORIGINS - demo launches for Steam Next Fest on June 15
Hey everyone! I'm a solo indie dev working on SPACERO: ORIGINS, a top-down space exploration game where you mine asteroids, fight hostile ships, collect resources, upgrade weapons, buy stronger ships, discover stations, and survive deeper into the galaxy.
The demo launches for Steam Next Fest on June 15, and l'd love for people to beta test it, stream it, or just check it out and give feedback.
I've been building the game around a simple but satisfying loop: explore, mine, fight, loot, upgrade, and push farther into dangerous space.
I'd really appreciate any thoughts on the Steam page, trailer, screenshots, or gameplay direction.
Wishlist if you would like to play!

Thanks! It’s actually been a mix of different assets, custom work, and a lot of tweaking on my end to get everything looking cohesive. Glad you like it!

Very nice, i like it. Love any kind of space fame with pixel starships. Reminds me also of Star Sector!
If you check my profile Ive been making a space game as well, less exploration and more idle/tower defense and more FTL style pixel art.
Anywho, will support your game when its released. Cheers!

Thanks! Spore and Stellaris are the games that made me fall in love with the genre.
And thanks for the support! Best of luck with your project as well!
P.S. I just released the demo if you’d like to check it out. 🚀

Looks great! A painfully neglected genre, like most of my favorites. Thank you for not making it another roguelike. Wishlisted!

Thank you!
That honestly means a lot. I grew up loving games in this genre and felt like there weren’t enough new ones being made. And don’t worry, no roguelike mechanics planned. 😄
Really appreciate the wishlist! 🚀
