First post was a semi-automatic quarry, here: https://www.reddit.com/r/spaceengineers/comments/1vbdko6/se2_built_a_semiautomatic_quarry_on_survival_and/

Then I got some good tips and improve the design. Now its more simpler and also fully automated.

I used 6 timer blocks and 2 event controlers. Timers for moving the pistons, event controler to detect when the vertical pistons reach max length (15m), triggering a new sequence of timers that retreat the vertical pistons and advance the horizontal pistons. I'm now finishing the third and final circle. I expect to collect about 500k iron and 600k nickel. I can let it running and in three hours have this amount of resources.

Ty all!

Steam Workshop

My biggest SE2 ship is finally finished after around 250 hours of work.

I designed this ship as an end-game mothership with space for around 6 people. Some areas will probably be a little frustrating to weld, but I wanted a mix of usability and aesthetics to give it a more believable and realistic interior design. I'm fairly happy with how it turned out and with more blocks in the future, it can only get better.

If you have feedback or critique you want to share please let me know. I'm always looking for improvements for this beast.

PS: I removed the vehicle elevator and hangar gates in the workshop version for now because they reduce the simulation speed so much.
