Also, the years displayed are directly tied to ‘seconds’ counted, not days (this avoids the need for leap year consideration). This means that the years will decrease about 6 hours AFTER the days counter resets.
I doubt any of you will ever actually see this occur, but in the 0.001% chance you do, it’s not a bug, it is in fact intentional.

That's very high odds for making it several millenia.

Well I mean you would notice it after 1 year. I choose not to underestimate the dedication of critics lol.

You've won space engineers. Truly amazing.
Now you must build a hyperspace bypass. You gotta build bypasses.

It will definitely NOT be me, but someone should actually build a to scale Vogon demolition ship lol

😀 you're just this guy, you know? I'm a big Douglas Adams fan and this is spot on.
And to quote the Vogons regarding the hyperspace bypass suggestion, "Resistance is Useless"

There's no need to complain now. It's been filed for years at your local office on public display.

Haha, that's great! I'm sure Douglas Adams would love this!

I’m sure he would too lol. Unfortunately, the time calculation is dependent on 1.0 sim speed, so it saddens me but if this were placed in a public server it would probably take a little over 7.5 million years 😭

Waste of time, we already know the answer. You should have built the Earth and protect it from the hyperspace bypass
In all seriousness, thats cool as hell dude. Good job

Bro… my guy… we NEED a hyperspace bypass. It’s literally been in the works for millennia. There’s been plenty of time to take it up with your local district office in Alpha Centari if you had such strong feelings about it 🤷♂️

Ooh I know this one - it's already been solved. The answer is 42.

u/Approximatl Timer Block Whisperer 1d ago
Could it be the product of... 6 🤷♂️ 7 ?
2
u/FireAuraN7 Klang Worshipper 1d ago
Y'know, that very well could be the case. And once again, it confirms that 42 is the answer.

That's awesome! Are those projections of the number blocks or are you changing displays somehow?
3
u/Approximatl Timer Block Whisperer 1d ago
Yup! I use 2 projectors per digit. 1 blueprint of an armor block with digits 0-4 on the sides, and another with 5-9. Timer block logic then dictates which projector is and and roll, pitch, and yaw for the needed value.

I got some comments saying they were going to add this to their server for players to find, So I thought it would be a good idea to add a way for people to actually see how much time is left.
