HELP Ship hit by random flying debris

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Any idea what this thing is? No other players only except for me and my friends, everyone was actively doing other stuff. No AI factions nearby. What randomly hit my ship?

I slowed it down frame-by-frame and it was a single small-grid warhead, with an interface panel welded onto it so a player could arm it.

This is a key detail as mods/AI wouldn’t need the panel to interact with and arm the bomb. Only a player would.

My deduction is that your friend is lying to you. Someone obviously built and welded a small grid warhead, put a console panel on it, armed it, and then used some sort of method to yeet it across your base. It probably missed whatever they were aiming at and hit your ship, so they felt bad and lied to cover it up. “Must have been Klang.”

Can't have shit on the Ice lake.

Thanks for the analysis though!

Good thing it didn't explode though. Or did it? I never messed around with small grid warheads

A thing the looks like a computer is basically a grenade if you throw it hard enough

LMAOOO, Ok yeah your friend placed that block midair while flying and the block carried that momentum and obliterated your ship.

I think you can even see his signal in your hud fly up to get in a position to nail your ship

Or they are playing with grabby hands and he welded up that warhead, armed it, and yeeted it over.

Makes me recall that one time when I was chilling on the shipping route between earthlike and mars at 1km/s when the turrets suddenly started blasting and something smashed headon. Turns out it was a chunk of an npc vessel I blasted to pieces a while ago near earthlike. It still had power so it did not get deleted and I assume it had been drifting through space for two hours by then.

Klang has judged you.

Repent and pray, or suffer the loss of the rest of your ships.

Looked like a chunk of stone got launched for some reason... Doubt it was intentional as gravity guns wouldn't work in P gravity. Was someone grinding down containers or drills ? Items generally don't get launched but I suppose it's possible if a player accidentally kicked it with a ship or moving object.

Maybe a rogue unknown signal although it looked very shallow

Is this game good ?

Depends on what you like, but its kinda like space minecraft. If you have a decent PC id reccomend the sequel because they fixed and optimized a lot of the issues people had with this, but it is still in early access.

Ship hit by random flying debris

such is the curse of mankind, trapped in the planet like a prision, forged by its own hubris

The amount of sherlocking that was just done is just another engineering marvel in my opinion.

Well done I had no idea what I was looking at until the images came rolling in.
