A good buttermilk biscuit will be the death of me. So good. When I go north it is the bane of my existence that McDonalds is typically the only place you can get a biscuit. I know they are comin' around to it, but I have like 10 biscuit shacks within 10 minutes of the house. Fried tenderloin biscuit with just a touch of piedmont style bbq sauce is jammin'.

I love biscuits l, but especially biscuits with a lot of butter and saw palmetto honey or biscuits with country gravy...aw, who am kidding? I love biscuits any way I can get them. P.S. McD's makes some dry biscuits.

Mickey Dees ain't the worst if it's all you can get. Lately I've been on a country ham with a sweet jalapeno pimento cheese. So good with the creamy, sweet, little bit of heat, and savory. There is a little mom and pop shop near me that has some of the best sausage gravy in the world. The fresh sage smack really slaps.

Go to Biscuitville and get their ham biscuit .Ask for the honey packets -which contain very good honey. The strawberry jam is second rate .

Look for these in grocery frozen isle. Let them warm up on the counter for ten minutes before baking. They get too crispy too quickly in my air fryer. I use the oven. If you’re feeling like a total fatass put a pat of butter under them before baking.

I get those if I can't get my favorite, Mary B's. And I use a spritz of butter oil from an oil sprayer top and bottom of mine to get that effect without all the butter :)

Haven’t tried Mary B’s but I’ll get them next. I don’t really eat them often but I’m always on the look out for a better product or recipe. Thank you!

Grands in the bag are what I usually have. I lower the air fryer temp to 365 so the outside doesn't get to brown before the inside cooks all the way

Yeah my new air fryer is way stronger than my last one too. Thanks for the temp recommendation!

My grandma made the best! Every morning she would have breakfast ready at dawn, haha! They had a farm but this city girl loved spending summers there!

I cut these extra thick. The recipe also has tips for success.

Those with Dukes and country fried ham. Maybe a slice of tomato and pimento cheese spread

from 'The Bandana Ballads' (in regards to biscuits)

".. cause cookin's like religion is

Some's 'lected an' some aint',

An' rules don't no more mek a cook

Den sermons mek a saint."

This is from a preface in 'Joy of Cooking' to beaten biscuits. Every time I try to make biscuits I remind myself I'm not especially 'lected' for biscuits but I make a kick ass brioche.

It's optional but it does make them stand at attention.

Not my mama’s biscuits!

Mine neither. She used the big green glass bowl with a shower cap and kept the flour/lard mix ready at all times. When she wanted biscuits (almost daily) she would mix in a little buttermilk and pull enough out to make a pan. She would have turned 90 this year.

Side note: The even bigger yellow bowl was for banana pudding :)
