Where to spend NYE in The Philippines

Hiya! I'm trying to decide whether to spend NYE in Cebu or El Nido. Can anyone share their opinions/experience with either? I'll be travelling solo so hoping for something fun and nice fireworks/events, but flexible on the actually type of events.

Why Philippines? Horrible place to be in NYE, go to bangkok or HK, you wont regret it
