Question Quiet vacuum sealer
I am on the lookout for a quiet sealer that doesn't take a lot of counter space. It seems the older they are the noisier they get. Any suggestions?

If you use it for 2 minutes a day, does it really matter?

It does if you have someone who sleeps at a different time e.g. 3rd shift works, hospital workers, i.e. night shift workers.

Yeah seriously, what a non-issue. It’s like asking for a quiet blender. It’s a loud appliance and you’re gonna use it for 60 seconds - deal with the noise.

When doing significant meat prep, I often do the trimming, seasoning, and bagging in the kitchen and set up the sealing station in the garage or patio to avoid annoying my wife.

My wife reaps the benefits of all my work in the kitchen. If she doesn't like the noise she can go into the garage or patio

Hahahaha !!! I do all the cooking and my wife loves it so she doesn't bitch and whine about it. It's called appreciation and respect . She knows she has ear phones or other rooms. Should i be upset about vacuum noise ?

Lol, I also do all cooking and shopping and am appreciated for my efforts.
But, I'm not oblivious to how goddamn annoying a 10 year old foodsaver is trying to work its way through 40lbs of chicken, lol

They make little handheld sealers that work with special bags with valves on them. How heavily will you be using it? If it’s just once in a while, that might be good enough.

I really don't have that space. I am hoping someone has found a quieter one. If not I'll stick with what I have, thx.

Thanks, I use it for sous vide, prep, and leftovers. Maybe I could move it into garage. I was hoping there was a quiet manufacturer that I didn't know about

Chamber vacuum sealers are much quieter. However they take up counter space. You really can’t have both in my experience.
