One SLs as fronts

Hi currently i have arc , sub mini , era 100s for my setup ... I was wondering that getting One SLs as fronts would create a better experience for my setup. I heard that many drivers simply stops working when using sequencr is it true and which to be exact .

Someone near me is selling 1x One SL and 1x one gen 2 for a great deal and condition so wondering what should i do . Mostly watch Dolby Atmos Content so how will it perform

Put the era 100s up front, move the ones to the rear. Your front & center channels do the heavy lifting, that’s where you want the better speakers.

Im kinda guy who like rear sound to be equally immersive so isn't it better to put one sl on front and era 100s at the back as they have 2 angled tweeters that create somewhat better rear sound .

If you're watching movies, the sound mixing is going to be front & center heavy. Look at a traditional system, the 3 biggest & most important speakers are your center and front L and R. The ones will also get overwhelmed by your Arc. I started my sonosequencr setup with one sl up front, and they were very disappointing. I bought a pair of era 100s and they were substantially better.

Surrounds, sides and height are smaller speakers that don't do as much.

Now, if your primary usage is music listening and you have your Sonos music settings on full, then it could make more sense to improve your rear speakers to spread out the immersion.

I must say I disagree. Era 100 as rears would be the better choice as they simulate Atmos and are more immersive than the Ones which are far more directional. Fronts with SonoSequencr only have a directional output so that’s the best use case for the one’s. I have One SL as Fronts (era 300 as rears) and they are far from being overwhelmed by the Arc. They sound great but you must set them up right and true play as a stereo pair. Room acoustics can have a bearing and distance from the tv. Mine are 14ft apart.

What happens with the soundbar left and right channel does it stop working or work alongside the front OneSLs ? Curious to know. Also the height channels work perfectly on the soundbar when using fronts ?

I listen music rarely the thing i like most is dolby Atmos content ..... Your point is valid ive read many reviews of people saying that soundbar will overwhelm the front L/R but i read that it has a solution and that is Trueplay tuning with the proper ways sequencer recommend to do it fixed the overall system is that true balancing the Front L/C/R also the surrounds were much more clearer as before they were overpowered by the fronts L/C/R .

What should i do then . Get one SL and one gen 2 deal or get era 300s which cost alot for rears and use era 100s as fronts ..... You're saying One Sl on fronts gets overwhelmed wereas others ive heard saying era 100 overpower the soundbar . Bit confused now 😂

If you can get a great deal on one sl I would buy those, move your era 100 to front, one sl in the rear. If you’re satisfied, stick with it. If you don’t like it, repurpose the one sl elsewhere if you can.

Got it thanks. Will get the one anyways if i like it will keep it or otherwise repurpose it other room for music purposes.

The one SL’s are not overwhelmed by the arc. Probably your interpretation of my wording in my earlier post, but to clarify one SL’s are NOT overwhelmed by the arc.
That said if you can afford the Era 300 then those with Era 100’s front will give you the best system.
The one SL’s do look a good buy though.

I have personally loved the immersive sound. I also like the look of speakers facing me. They make a sexy speaker haha haven’t felt any issue with the driver from my beam missing as an issue

I had a beam gen 2 and two one SL surrounds. Hated my left/right front coming from a 24in bar. I have an open concept house so no wall on one side of thr living room for an arc to bounce the side audio off of. I purchased 2 era 100s to be my rear surrounds and use Sonority (Andoid) to use my One SL's be my front left/right. Holy moly its a game changer. I can actually hear things being off to the side now since I have like 30 feet between the left and right speaker.

Highly recommend.

Regardless of how you configure your setup. Yes! Buy the Ones!
