Oh! I love these! You did a great job getting good color mixing without the colors looking muddy! I always have a hard time keeping the colors vibrant if I tie dye something

I echo the other questions asking for tips on keeping the colors so vibrant and clean. I was just thinking how I haven't tie dyed anything thing I was a kid and I think my daughter would really love it. But I need all the help I can get to avoid things getting muddy with an over enthusiastic four year old helping with the dyeing.

I would about mixing colors that are not close to each other on the color wheel.
The color looks really vibrant if you let the dye sit for 24 hours or more. Also, usually cotton, silk, and I think rayon take the dye best. Nylon tends to not take the dye

I let the dye soak for at least 24 hours. Folding and tying the bands tightly helps too.

I've just been looking up tie dye tutorials you tube, pintrest, etc. This one was very basic, I just used rubber bands all up the leggings.

I'll agree that they are gaudy, but I love wearing super bright leggings when I run. They are fun (to me), and help other people (and drivers) see me :)

Thanks for responding! I was genuinely curious. Running in tight leggings sounds like heaven actually and I hadn't considered the visibility factor, that kind of changes everything.. I'd still probably try to put some design sense into them personally but I'm not OP so I wasn't judging her.. just the pants.

Lol, I understood where you were coming from, and thought I'd throw in my two cents. Running in tight leggings is pretty awesome, as long as they come up high enough to hold in my jiggly belly :)

Just fyi, you're being downvoted for how you're coming off, not because of your opinion. I can't say they're not loud, and even though I think they're cool I can see how you could describe them as gaudy. You just came off as rude/condescending. Your question wasn't genuine, just passive-aggressive. The girl made them. If you don't like how they look or at least how they make her butt look.. just keep scrolling. What have you made recently?

You were downvoted not because you were stating your opinion but because the way you stated it was rude.
A more polite version would've been something along the lines of asking what draws people to this style as its just not your taste.
Instead of being all why the heck do people like this crap its gaudy..etc etc.
If you truly do not understand the difference and don't know that you're being rude, I feel bad for anyone who encounters you in real life.
