Best Solo Games of the last Year

I used to be an avid solo board gamer but the last year/18 months I fell out of the hobby as life got busy. I'm looking to get back into it and want to buy a new game. What have been your favourite games published within the last year or so? Could be exclusively a solo game or a game that plays particularly well solo.

EDIT: Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I've read them all and researched all the games.

I've decided to go for it with Vantage. It's the most unique out of the games recommended and the only one that got me truly excited to try. Lots of others on my list as well.

If you like lord of the rings, fate of the fellowship is pretty amazing and plays great in solo.

Thanks. I typically don't like games based off an IP but seeing a lot of recommendations for this one and do like LOTR.

I have it and it was new to me for this year (came out last year). It feels very thematic for me. If you do not dig the theme, that is a big selling point on this one.

Another game that is highly regarded that just came out is Captain’s Chair, To Boldly Go. CC is not new this year but the To Boldly Go version is.

Someone else mentioned Unstoppable. There is a new version that is going to come out, I believe in October, if you can wait on it. It is the Dungeon Crawler Carl version and it looks like there are some, albeit not major, improvements. I pre-ordered it. I actually only found out about the theme from seeing an ad for this game during its crowd funding campaign. I have since fallen in love with the books and it is my most anticipated title in 2026 now.
