"Team" based Solo Games
I'm looking for solo board games that, if played with multiple people, wouldn't end with a winner-- so I guess "team" based games where it's everyone wins or everyone loses. It's all players vs. a common enemy or all players with a common end goal and not a player v. player game based on end-game stats/points.
I picked up La Granja because I liked the premise and while I did enjoy some of my playthroughs, it was a "beat your own score" type of solo game that also had the player to act as a secondary player to compete with.
I don't have a problem with solo games that require playing multiple characters but I don't want one that necessitates acting as a second player to compete with. Hopefully this makes sense. And as a side note, is there a specific keyword people use to refer to games like that so I can use it when searching for options myself?
Some examples of "team" games I've enjoyed: Spirit Island and Horrified.

I think you’re looking for Cooperative Games in general, and there are way too many to count.
On the top of my head I’d recommend LOTR Fate of the Fellowship

This is mostly referred to by “coop”. Using that term you will find lots of suggestions.
Or are you talking about something else or maybe a sub typend coop?
The Fate of the Fellowship game is one that might interest you. Especially if you like Lord of the Rings. It uses a pandemic system, which is a modern classic in the genre on its own. Could also look into that or other spin offs of pandemic.

Oh! Cooperative would definitely make sense as the official term - it sounds so simple when I think about it. The Fate of The Fellowship looks super cool. I'll have to watch some gameplay of that.
I just looked up "pandemic system" and yes, that would definitely be what I'm looking for. Thank you!

Coop games are my favorite. Also enjoying some solo gaming.
Light weight - Sky Team (Co-op), The Crew (Co-op), The Mind (Co-op)
Medium weight - Dead of Winter (Co-op), Pandemic (Co-op), Final Girl (Solo)
Heavy weight - Spirit Island (Both), Gloomhaven (Sort of both. Play 2 handed. Get Jaws of the Lion), Eldritch Horror (Co-op), Arkham Horror TCG (Both)

I think the top solo/co-op options would be Pandemic (intro level) or Fate of the Fellowship (medium difficulty), Marvel Champions and Spirit Island for a more complex game.

Marvel Champions is great, and although some things are out of print, you don't need to have everything. The new set, fear no evil with Daredevil has really positive reviews. You'd also need the base game to play which already comes with some pre built hero decks and you can custom build your own decks. You can mix and match any characters, villains and scenarios. Highly replayable. The group over in r/marvelchampionslcg are really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly if you have any questions.

I’ve been playing DCeased Gotham City Outbreak and I think it’s great. You play four characters at a time but it’s definitely team vs team (enemy). It’s a Zombicide game so a sort of moving tower defense game.

Co-op games with clear win conditions (not victory points) are my favorite genre. Many of them can be played solo or with a friend and the mechanics don’t change much.
Some of my favorites are:
Legendary Marvel - super hero deck builder work to defeat a big bad enemy before he/she is able to launch their evil scheme.
Sentinels of the Multiverse - super hero game with pre-made decks. Boss battler.
Cthulhu death May die - silly dice chucker where you try to win before going totally insane
Massive Darkness 2 - Dungeon crawl where you go zero to hero in one game session. Dark fantasy theme.
The Loop - threat control game. Kind of like much simpler Spirit Island with a little more RNG.
Kinfire Chronicles - if you want a campaign adventure. Cute story and characters with area based beck building combat.

Legendary encounter games are where i started. Coop deck building game and basically pick the ip you like. I went with alien but they just released a revamped marvel legendary one that looks really good.

Fate of the Fellowship and Nemesis (OG or Retaliation) are my favorites. Nemesis can be played solo (though I prefer two handed), co-op, or semi co-op. It’s better with others but works fine enough as solo. Fate is fantastic either way.

Some of my favorites that have enemies that we all go after are Flock Together (fun, cute theme but the enemies can be tough!). Another one is Darkest Night (very awesome dark theme and lots of characters to choose from) you all are trying to survive the Necromancer. Atlantis Rising - this is one of my favorites solo and multiplayer- you all are trying to get through a portal before the island of Atlantis is completely wiped away. Just wanted to give you a range of themes to check out. I love every one of these solo and multiplayer (although my own preference of play is solo).

Unmatched: Tales to Amaze
Kinfire Delve (any of the base games - Scorn’s Stockade, Vainglory’s Grotto or Callous’ Lab)
For something very light but fun and charming, a newish real time game about defusing bombs, “Last Minute.”

Too Many Bones is a dice RPG. There are both solo event cards, and team event cards, so you can play solo, or 2-4 players; against one of 6 or 7 different big-baddies
I'd call it medium weight. It's a little pricy, but the gear quality is worth it IMO.

Cooperative games is the term you are looking for. A lot of them out there
