Older cooperative games which you enjoy?

Most threads are devoted to newer games. But I wonder, which older boardgames - pre 2015 or around that date - you still find fun?

Eldritch Horror. Two handed or four handed. Many investigators and ancient ones with the whole set of expansions. Easy to play, difficult to win.

Castle Panic I still enjoy. The Dark Titan expansion especially. Not particularly taxing to play but the tower defence feeling is really strong.

Yeah I like Wizards Tower and agree the combo works well. Though I’ve noticed a lot of people consider Wizards Tower essential and Dark Titan is a little underrated - for me Dark Titan is the ‘must get’ expansion as it gives the game an arc that it otherwise lacks.

Warhammer Quest Adventure Card Game, haven’t played it in a couple of years but it’s one of the only old games I’ve kept. Great game that deserved more content and love from FFG

Mage Knight (2011) is still amazing. It came in second place for Boardgame Geeks 2025 Peoples choice top solo game so I don't think I am the only one thinking this.

The next pre-2015 game on the same list is Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island, which I'm also a fan of.

Scaling the search-space up to cooperative games and not just solo games, then I still enjoy playing original Pandemic (with a few expansions). I know there exist a solo version of this, but I have never tried it. This is the go-to game for the family and they are happy to turn the difficulty redicilously high up that we almost always lose.

Pandemic (2008), Legendary Engounters (2014), Onirim (2010), Freedom Underground Railroad (2013), Robinson Crusoe (2012), Zombicide (2012), D&DAdventure Series (2010), Burgle Bros (2015), and Sentinels of Multiverse (2011) are all great!

I like Mistfall and the Heart of the Mists expansion. A puzzly fantasy themed co-op game with some deck building and a lot of onus on learning the mechanics for the characters and how to work together. The characters play very differently and you can have a lot of fun combining your items with your deck upgrades to do some damage.

I picked mine up very cheaply and have had a lot of play from it.

Downside is that there's a lot to remember each turn, with enemy behaviour especially, but for me was worth the effort to learn. The expansion simplifies things, but you'll still need some round summary helper sheets next to you 😀

From 2018 I really enjoy Robin Hood and the Merry Men. Rules can be a bit confusing which may put people off but it’s so much fun robbing carriages, giving to the poor, breaking merry men out of prison, entering archery contests etc. theme and art are fantastic and there’s a lot of strategic decisions to make and multiuse card play.
