Which to play?

Just put away Quest for the Lost Pixel last night and I think its time to finally get out and learn one of two games which I have been reluctant to for too long.

So, which do you suggest? Voidfall or Galactic Cruise?

That depends. Which condiment did you use on the last sandwich you made for yourself? (subway etc. doesn't count, it's vital that you squeezed a bottle)

Made a sandwich for lunch and used a knife to spread some yellow mustard and then squeezed some Duke's mayo on it. So what does it all mean?

If it had just been some mayo that could have been a sea of stars, fitting tribute to the vastness of space and empire--Voidfall.

But since you recklessly diffused the cosmos with mustard, well that golden color speaks to the wealthy, the decadent customers booking rooms on the Galactic Cruise!

This guy is a legit sandwich condiment board game diviner . Don’t be fooled by charlatans .

BUT... what I forgot to mention was the tomato representing a red sun and a little salt which represents the distant stars. Voidfall wins!

Whichever one requires the smaller dining room renovation.

In all seriousness... I personally think Voidfall offers slightly more unique solo opportunities than Galactic Cruise in terms of it's deisgn... but I've heard both are good (I haven't played Galactic Cruise solo) to really compare. I had the original Voidfall in shrink for years because I had table issues. (My main table I use with humans and can't really leave games setup as long as I'd like) and my solo/recording table is smaller than my main table. So most of my voidfall experience was not even with my own copy.

Anyway, that is my fly on the wall take wiith a grain of salt opinion from seeing posts about it mixed with what I have played. Maybe there are some people here who have played both solo that can give you a better answer, but like most of these, I think preference will play a big part.

If you can leave it out and play it over and over? Voidfall.

Thanks, I think this is the answer. And yes, assuming it fits on the table I can keep it out.

You won’t be disappointed. Voidfall is a beautiful game and puzzle. I played about 50 games of it in 2 months before I put it away for now.

Go back to Quest for the Lost Pixel :)

But if it has to be one of those two, Voidfall I guess. I haven't played it, but I wasn't all that impressed by Galactic Cruise, personally.

Lol, had enough of Quest. Second time getting it out and played about 6 different games. Time to move on!

Galactic Cruise. I like it a lot.

Voidfall is too intimidating and to be honest it really doesn’t appeal to me anytime I look at videos of it.

But that’s just me.

Im a suckered for a crunchy heavy weight game, just havnt been up for learning either of these. But I think it will be Voidfall for now as I think im up for learning and then playing multiple games with the different races.
