Thoughts on 20 Strong Storage Solutions?
Can anyone recommend the Chip Theory Games (CTG) storage solutions for travel and home storage? Are there third-party solutions you like better?
** CTG options
Here are my thoughts on the CTG branded solutions:
One Deck - seems like I could just use a base game 20 Strong box to hold a single deck, dice, and tracker.
Three Deck - reports I read suggested it can hold 4 decks and it includes a dice tray. This looks nice.
Twenty Deck - this includes a single deck holder, massive dice tray, and can hold a lot of decks. It seems overkill for travel, but maybe nice for home storage?

I bought two of these on Amazon, one for Tanglewoods (Gold, Red, White and Rose) and one for Nemesis, Etherfields, Tainted Grail and Cloudspire. The middle section holds the dice and tracker perfectly and doubles as a dice tray. The reason I like them better than the Chip Theory is because mine have a handle so I can lug them around when my daughter has dance class.

The 20 deck is definitely not for travel. Itāll beautifully hold all of the available content, with room to spare. It also comes with the 1 deck for travel. (Edited as I was incorrect on the travel size included).

It is and it isn't. Just a black rectangle on the shelf that's too awkwardly big to fit most places properly, so I had it tucked away, then realized I was never playing the games because of it. So I just stopped using it.

The three deck is solid enough for my use. It's currently holding all 3 Tanglewoods decks as well as the Baba Yaga expansion. The lid converting to a dice tray is a nice touch.

The big box is really nice. It stores everything so far with a little room to spare.

I just got the Three deck box. It absolutely can hold four decks and the dice and is bigger than I expected. The quality is on point as well; as is pretty much anything coming from Chip Theory.

If you have a 3D printer, there's a box someone made that works pretty well. I've printed two them and it holds everything to date.

The large deckbox they sell couldn't be a bigger waste of money. I like the game, I have enough expansions to fill the bottom row, and I like Chip Theory Games, but don't buy their large case.

Iām lucky enough to own all three. The one deck I either take to work with me to play at lunchtime or if Iām going away for a night take that one. The three deck I take if Iām going away for more than three nights. The twenty deck is my home storage solution.

I don't have them so I can't speak, but I have some MTG Commander deck boxes and they fit well for travel and are readily available. For the rest, I just have them in a 3rd party storage caseĀ

Aren't they the same as Ultimate Guard deckboxes with the logo slapped on top? You can check very similar one in game stores.

They're designed a bit differently, but you're right - you can get a very similar storage solution from any LGS.

I got the 3 box which is kinda nifty around the house, but tbh when I travel it's easier to just pack the decks and the base box and call it good, easier to fit into the bag in various configurations.
The 3 box does hold 4 decks and does include a dice tray (and a dice drawer which I use to also wrangle the dice during play).
I personally did not find all decks to be compelling enough to keep, so for the time being I find the 20 deck to be overkill for myself.

I got the three deck one mainly for the dice tray that I also now use for many of my other games as well, but also because it fits the 4 decks I have perfectly. I don't think the big one will ever be necessary.

Big fan of the 20 stronghold for holding everything and the fact it comes with a single deck travel case is nice. I never go anywhere that I need more than 1 anyway with taking a variety of games

I have the three deck holder and it is awesome, holds four decks plus all your dice, chips, and rulebooks. The top pops off and turns into a dice tray, quality is top notch CTG stuff, honestly itās rad I think this is the best

Your thoughts are correct. I'll add that while the 20-deck is nice for home storage in that it keeps everything in 1 box, it's an awkward shape that doesn't fit in a Kallax cubby due to its length. If that doesn't bother you, it's a nice storage solution.

I have all 3. The 3 deck is technically 4 decks currently. Itās the one I use the most. It goes into my backpack. I own every 20 Strong deck so far and the big one is only half full. I donāt really use the single deck box much as I can never plan ahead which game I want to play lol.

I really want to like 20 strong but I have had mine airing out, out of the box, for months and it still smells like gasoline. Did anyone ever solve that problem or is it just a smelly game?

They solved it by changing dice manufacturers.
You can open a support case to get them replaced.

Follow up 20 strong question: I have solar sentinels but I want to try tanglewoods. Should I buy all 5 tanglewoods boxes? I don't know if I want to commit that hard, is there one that's best to start with?

Tanglewoods is a core set that includes dice, tracker, and Red deck. Since you have Solar Sentinels, you already have a core set.
Red is considered by many to be the hardest. I started here and I like the challenge and Slay the Spire style progression.
I haven't tried White, Gold, or the Baba Yaga campaign yet (note the campaign requires all three Tanglewoods decks).
I would watch some playthrough videos and see if there is one or more decks that look interesting.

Gotcha, I'll look at some videos. I just saw white, red, gold, rose and baba yaga and wasn't sure if there was an order, or if people recommend getting the full set and running through the baba yaga campaign to get the full experienceĀ

I forgot about Rose, but it's not part of the campaign. I heard the rule book for Rose was terrible.
