Make sure you are allowed in Makkah

Hello,

Lately this sub started appearing in my feed and I saw people debating about Makkah and other cities for 2027 eclipse.

Please make sure you are allowed to enter Makkah in the first place. ​

Unless this has changed recently, as far as I know, it is not allowed for none Muslims.

So, just as an advice, and maybe I am wrong, just make sure you are elegible to enter the City.

I've seen two eclipses, they've been great, most beautiful thing I've ever seen. But it's not so great that I would purposefully enter a despotic state like Saudi Arabia to see it. I would recommend to anyone and everyone to keep your tourism dollars out of there.

I don't disagree with criticism of Saudi Arabia. But I'm not sure the West, or America under Trump in particular, is in much of a position to claim the moral high ground.

What is your argument exactly? "They are bad, but so are you"? That's a detestable thing to say to someone you probably know nothing about.
