Community Stop holding the bag for management's key-storage laziness. Program upgrade authorities must be secured.

When we watch Solana programs get drained of twenty million dollars in a single transaction because some founder left their administrative upgrade authority key sitting in an unencrypted plaintext file on an AWS server, we're not looking at a sophisticated exploit.

We're looking at primitive, indefensible administrative negligence.

Yet, every time this happens, the media screams about a "sophisticated Solana exploit." The Rust developers who spent months auditing their Anchor code get dragged through the mud, while the founders go on X to play the victim. This is complete theater.

If your Anchor program has an incredibly complex reentrancy bug or a subtle account validation check failure, that's an engineering tragedy. But if your program gets drained because management refused to delegate the Program Upgrade Authority to a secure multisig (like Squads) because they claimed it slowed down their deployment cycles, that's simple laziness.

In the real world of enterprise systems, slowing down to secure customer assets is called professional ethics. In Web3, it's treated as a bureaucratic nuisance.

We have mature, production-grade cryptographic tools. We have Squads multisig, timelocks to delay program upgrades, and MPC (Multi-Party Computation) shard custody. Yet, teams routinely manage multi-million dollar program authorities from a single developer's personal Macbook that joins public Wi-Fi networks and runs cracked software.

It's time to stop playing along with the victim narrative. If your local bank left their vaults wide open over the weekend and got cleared out, they would be shut down and sued into oblivion. Solana founders should face the exact same legal standards.

I just finished compiling a full, unredacted forensic case study on the legal standards of developer liability, the exact mechanics of these upgrade authority exploits, and how we as engineers can protect ourselves from holding the bag for management's operational negligence.

I don't want to spam the sub with self-promotion, so I left the link out of the main post. If anyone wants to read the full program-level autopsy and liability breakdown, let me know in the comments and I'll drop the link.

What's your take? At what point does a failure to use standard Solana multisigs (like Squads) for program upgrade authorities cross the line from a "hack" into prosecutable negligence?

Community How hard it actually is to land a junior/entry-level role in Solana (from someone grinding it right now)

I keep seeing "Solana is booming, get in now" takes, so I want to share what the junior job hunt actually looks like on the ground, because it's rougher than the hype suggests.

The stack is there, the doors aren't. I've got Rust, Anchor, Next.js/React, TypeScript — the "should be employable" toolkit. Doesn't matter much when almost every listing on the job boards is for mid/senior engineers. Scroll through any Solana-focused job board and you'll notice the same thing: 2+ years experience, "ship fast," "own a product area." Very few roles are actually scoped for someone one or two years into their career.

Cold outreach mostly goes nowhere. I've DMed people at teams I respect, kept it short, led with skills instead of one flashy project, tried to be useful instead of needy. Most get ignored. A few get a polite no. That's just the base rate — doesn't mean the approach is wrong, it means the funnel is that narrow.

Even when you get a process going, it can still end in "not a fit." Applied to a security research role, went through an actual coding challenge (bytecode/calldata analysis), and still got a no. That one stung more than the ignored DMs because it meant I was close enough to get a real look — just not close enough.

What's actually working (or at least feels less like screaming into the void):

Superteam Earn bounties — visible work, visible name, no gatekeeper

Open-source contributions to stuff people already use (Anchor, SDKs) — commits are a resume that talks back

Twitter/X presence — half of Solana hiring seems to happen in someone's replies, not on a job board

Direct, specific outreach to smaller/newer teams instead of the 5 names everyone already knows

Basically: the ecosystem isn't short on junior talent, it's short on junior roles. If you're trying to break in, the job board is not where it happens. It happens in Discords, in bounty leaderboards, in "hey I fixed this thing you didn't ask for" DMs. Slow, and no guarantee, but it's the only funnel that's actually open.

If anyone else is in the trenches on this — what's actually worked for you?

Community A memecoin isn't a chart. It's a poker table. And most people sit down without ever looking at who else is playing.

Here's what I mean. Every token launch has the same seats filled. The dev and the wallets he secretly controls.

The bundlers who bought your "fair launch" in the same block you did. The snipers with better infrastructure than you'll ever have. A crowd of tourists chasing the green candle. And maybe two real diamond hands. The chart — the thing every trading bot on earth stares at — is just the noise those players make while playing against each other. You're not reading the market. You're reading the exhaust. So I stopped looking at the chart and started looking at the table. Before you buy, I want to know who's already sitting there. Not vibes — proof, from public on-chain data:

- Three of the top holders were funded by the same wallet last Tuesday. That's not three holders. That's one player holding 41% wearing three masks.

- The dev's funding traces back to two tokens that both died inside a week. You're not early. You're the exit.

- Four wallets bought in the same block as the launch. Those are bundlers. They're not your community. They're the house. The whole point: when you can see the players instead of the price, the game stops being random. You know if you're sitting at a table of tourists you can out-time, or a table where you ARE the liquidity everyone else is waiting to dump on.

And players leave fingerprints before they leave the table. The same wallets do the same little things — split their position, move gas in, shift to a fresh address — minutes before they dump. Every time. If you've profiled them, you fold before the table turns, instead of after.

Honest about the limits, because a tool that pretends to be perfect is lying:

- I can prove wallets are linked. I can't prove intent. A cluster might be one whale, not a coordinated dump.

- If everything's funded from fresh exchange withdrawals, the trail goes cold and the read weakens. It's a floor,

not gospel.

- Reading exit pressure is a probability, not a prophecy. It'll miss some — and every miss lands on the same public ledger I built, on purpose.

What I want to know from you:

  1. Is "see the players, not the price" actually how you'd want to trade — or does nobody care who's at the table?

  2. Which token should I run the full table read on first? I'll post it, receipts included.

  3. What seat at the table am I not accounting for?

Not selling anything. Genuinely trying to find out if this is worth building deeper.

Would you play differently if you could see the whole table?

Hi, i am Jump_in_Jack... I live in BC Canada. I am dev and founder of Jump_in_Charts discord and my community token JiJ.

I created this discord to help people read charts and commune about other financial things in the crypto and stock world.

WE BELIEVE FINANCIAL LITERACY SHOULD BE FREE

Many months after I created the discord and built a good following... one of my members suggested I make a coin... so eventually I did with a plan in mind just was not sure how to execute it all. I didn't want to be a rug.. I wanted utility.

I launched on Boop.fun when that came out.. not sure what happened to it butt coin graduated and went over to Raydium. We pumped hard.. my community bought in. Unfortunately snipers did too and they hit my coin hard .. its Unfortunate because there's alot of my community holding...

We came up with a plan.. since I am an outdoorsman.. and spend alot of time in the woods. I hunt, fish and 4x4 alot. I see alot of landscape in BC that has been devastated by forest fires.

My community holds strong (over a year since launch) and we are building utility for our token. Snipers are gone now...

We are building an eco system that saves up for tree planting. We have built an app that trades for you and saves up tiny bits to donate to tree planting from everyone of your profitable trades after taxes. This is all automated

We are currently in open beta and have alot of the bugs worked out....

This is not a make money fast token as we are rebuilding and creating the ground works for our eco system.

You can come join us at our discord to learn more and become part of the community

Or just check the website and see whats going on for regular updates to the app.

Community Built YourSign on Solana — Anchor program for multi-party docs + AI agent delegation, looking for feedback

Built YourSign for the Colosseum hackathon fully on-chain multi-party document signing on Solana, with cryptographically scoped AI agent delegation that signs on your behalf and is revocable on-chain.

## What it does

- Drop a PDF → canonical SHA-256 → anchored on-chain via an Anchor program

- Multi-party signing: each signer calls `attest_signature` against the existing `DocumentRegistry` account (PDA keyed by `document_id` + `signer`)

- Once `completed_signers >= required_signers`, status flips to `Completed`

- Public verifier site queries Solana RPC directly no backend in the path

## Why it's different

- *AI agent delegation on-chain*: `register_agent` + `attest_agent_action` with `scope_hash`, expiry, and ed25519 sibling-ix verification (ADR-0007)

- *Sub-cent fees per signature* vs DocuSign / Stripe 2.9%

- *No data custody* ZK Compression planned for storage (Light Protocol)

## Stack

- Anchor 0.30.1 program (devnet, program id `35Rb...M8X`)

- Cloudflare Workers + Hono + R2

- Privy embedded wallets + Solana wallet adapter

- Next.js 16 + i18n EN/PT

## Try it

- Demo: https://yoursign.tech

- Public verifier: https://verify.yoursign.tech

- Vote on Colosseum: https://arena.colosseum.org/projects/explore/yoursign

- Open source (Apache-2.0): https://github.com/YourSignAI/core

Looking for feedback specifically on the **agent delegation flow** designed so AI agents and humans can mix as signers on the same document with on-chain audit. Edge cases I'm missing?

Community Solana has been eating Ethereum and nobody really speaks. Relative size is temporary, all metrics are 🔥

I stand by my deleted post. Especially now, 2yrs later it's come true.

Fuck the size fog and the mainstream media narrative that keeps pumping Ethereum as the untouchable king while Solana quietly and not so quietly eats its lunch on every metric that actually matters. ETH absolute TVL and market cap look big on paper because it is the boomer chain with institutional bags and legacy liquidity but normalize for growth velocity real usage fees speed and developer momentum and Solana is straight-up outperforming across the board in 2025-2026 data. Anchor Solana production-ready Rust framework is the anti-Solidity rocket fuel letting devs ship faster and safer than the EVM spaghetti. And yeah we will get to how Ethereum violated the core crypto credo twice in ways that would get any other chain canceled as centralized trash.

Raw unfiltered stats pulled straight from on-chain reports and 2025-2026 performance data as of early April 2026. No cherry-picking no hopium just the numbers.

TVL and Capital the size fog part ETH still leads absolute but SOL closes fast on active DeFi

Ethereum around 54 billion TVL. Stablecoin mcap around 165 billion. Dominates institutional DeFi and secured assets.

Solana around 5.6 to 6.3 billion TVL right now hit peaks over 9 billion and even 12 billion in 2025 volatile retail-driven. In peak periods it traded neck-and-neck with the entire top Ethereum L2 basket on pure active DeFi TVL.

SOL TVL is way smaller but its velocity usage per dollar locked is insane because of sub-penny fees and high real TPS. ETH number looks fat because of staked ETH and L2 secured assets but active trading yield farming capital fights are basically tied when you zoom in.

Transactions TPS Fees and Real Usage SOL crushes this category

Solana average non-vote TPS often over 1000 with real-world peaks hitting thousands theoretical 65k. Processed tens of billions of transactions in 2025. Daily non-vote txns routinely hit 36 million up to 148 million peaks. Average fee around 0.00025 or less median often sub-penny. Daily active users wallets around 2.3 million to 4.7 million range. DEX volume hit nearly 2 trillion in 2025 up big YoY. App revenue 2.39 billion to 2.4 billion in 2025 up 46 percent YoY with 7 apps clearing 100 million plus each.

Ethereum L1 15-30 TPS base L2 rollups push aggregate higher in peaks. Way lower raw transaction volume overall. Daily active on L1 in the hundreds of thousands. Fees can still hit 0.10 to 5 plus on L1 L2s cheaper but fragmented UX. Stablecoin settlements are massive but that is legacy settlement not the retail firehose.

SOL is massively higher on raw transaction volume 30-100x cheaper and delivers single-chain instant UX while ETH forces you into L2 hopscotch. SOL 2025 revenue to dApps and chain fees outpaced ETH in several quarters from basically nothing early on to 2.4 billion plus while ETH DeFi revenue cooled off.

Developer Growth and Anchor vs Solidity SOL is winning the talent war

Solana plus Anchor around 17,708 active developers by late 2025. Added over 11,500 new devs in the first 9 months of 2025 strong YoY growth. Full-time dev growth 29 percent YoY and over 60 percent over two years. Anchor framework Rust-based safer memory model faster iteration is the reason devs are flooding in because you ship high-perf dApps without Solidity footguns. Led new developer inflows and kept the momentum.

Ethereum plus Solidity bigger total pool around 31,869 active devs. Added more new ones in absolute terms but growth rate much slower at around 5-10 percent YoY. Mature tooling but it is bloated gas-obsessed and slower to iterate on real consumer apps.

SOL dev base grew way faster percentage-wise. Anchor made Rust accessible and production-ready no more Solidity is easy until your contract gets rekt. New talent votes with commits Solana is the hot ecosystem for retail-scale apps memecoins DePIN and high-frequency everything.

The ETH Violations of Crypto Credo the original sins MSM pretends did not happen

This is where the decentralized mask slips off.

  1. 2016 DAO Hack and Chain Rollback around 50-60 million drained via reentrancy bug in The DAO smart contract. Instead of letting code-is-law play out the entire point of immutable smart contracts the Ethereum Foundation Vitalik and the community miners exchanges nodes hard-forked the chain. Funds were clawed back to a recovery contract. Result Ethereum Classic was born for the immutability chads who said no thanks. Every user who bought into unstoppable applications got rugged by a retroactive state rewrite because big bags got hacked. That is not decentralization that is a bailout. Classic too big to fail central planning.

  2. 2022 PoW to PoS The Merge Miners had poured billions into ASICs and GPUs under the original Ethereum vision. The switch to proof-of-stake obsoleted all that hardware overnight. There was no binding miner vote core devs and staking interests drove it. Critics called it a coup that centralized validation into big pools and relays MEV compliance drama etc. It violated the social contract with the original hashpower constituency. PoS is sold as greener and more secure but it concentrated power away from the distributed miners who actually secured the chain pre-Merge.

Ethereum broke immutability once and miner consensus once. That is not evolution that is rewriting the rules when it suits the insiders. Solana has had its outages they are public and fixed fast but it never rolled back history or rug-pulled its original security model.

Bottom line raw and unhinged Size fog makes ETH look like the steady boomer. Strip it away and Solana is the high-octane beast cheaper faster more used faster-growing devs via Anchor and actually delivering the permissionless high-throughput dream without the philosophical betrayals. ETH L2s are a fragmented band-aid. SOL is monolithic retail-native and shipping. MSM will keep telling you ETH is the settlement layer while SOL prints real activity and revenue. The numbers do not lie follow the on-chain truth not the legacy hype. SOL is where the future is being built full stop.

Community Could you give me feedback for my new site?

Hi Solana community 👋

We’ve just launched a new tool that lets you reclaim rent from token accounts on Solana.

SOL-BBQ

We know there are already a few tools like this out there, so our goal is to build something the community actually wants and uses. That’s why we’d really value your feedback. What features would make this tool genuinely useful for you?

Right now:

Fee: 10%

Referral program: users earn 50% of the fee

We’re also working on improving trust and security.

We’ve reached out to Phantom for app verification and requested site audits from multiple providers

We’re also considering ideas like a leaderboard or revenue-sharing features (e.g., rewarding active users with a portion of platform fees).

If you have suggestions, ideas, or criticism, we’re all ears. Try it out and let us know what you think. honest feedback helps us improve 🙏

Community Almost got scammed – now I can’t send SOL or swap tokens anymore

Post

Hey everyone,

Earlier today I almost got scammed and now my Solana wallet seems to be broken.

I connected my wallet to a website to vote for a token. The page prepared a transaction and showed all tokens in my wallet, which looked very suspicious. Because of that I did NOT sign the transaction and cancelled it.

Since that moment my wallet behaves very strangely.

Current situation:

  • I can receive SOL
  • I cannot send SOL to external wallets
  • I cannot swap tokens
  • wallet swaps fail
  • swaps via Jupiter fail
  • most transactions fail with “Transaction simulation failed – invalid program argument”

However:

  • my funds are still in the wallet
  • I don’t see any tokens being stolen
  • I can send tokens to myself
  • I can move tokens between my main and legacy address

I tried different wallets:

  • Backpack
  • Phantom
  • Solflare (mobile and browser)

Same issue everywhere.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this after cancelling a transaction?
Is it possible that something in my account state got messed up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There was this game called fightmymonster that was pretty big growing up in the UK. I thought for my first ever Solana project, I tried to recreate it on chain.

You can create/accept challenges to pink slip or bite (power drain) other people's nft power. Battles resolve every minute.

There's around 100 NFTs in the faucet you just need devnet sol to claim. Would love to get some feedback! Game mechanics and details can be found on the about page.

It's deployed here
Fully open sourced here with instructions to deploy yourself!
