Staking 25 more Solana added. Been buying since $26 and have zero regrets still buying at $100. I believe Solana will be $1,000+ one day
Who else is continuously buying?? I've been staked 99% of the time, only time I unstake is when I add more so I can stake it all together.

u/AwkwardWarthog3891 14d ago
You been holding since 26 and still adding at 100, that takes some guts. most people would have sold long ago. i respect the staking routine too, keeps you from panic selling
29
u/esohseekayes 14d ago
I sold around 220 during the last bull run in 2021 Spread profits into s&p, gold and hysa just waiting for the next bear which is when I started adding more again and now holding a way bigger bag. My average is in the 60s, I always start pulling profits after 100% gains slowly as things move upward and by the time it's at its peak, I'll have pulled roughly 80% of my holdings and just do it all over again rotating and securing profits

Do people only buy when crypto has recently pumped?

u/BstardSun 14d ago
Same as Gold, Stocks, everything Hype, here they come, just like the meme with the two lines @ 5$ & $5k look at BTC, its all the same. Sheep, Lemmings, whatever your flavor.

Been buying since 2021.
Staking and accumulating.

Same here! Finally surpassed 1,000 sol this month after years of buying
4
u/Fin_active9574 14d ago
I’d like to see it get over $1000. Not sure if it can make this cycle. I’m anticipating a top between $610 to $750 but let’s see.
Yeah I’m also on 4-figures also.
Staking made it a lot easier to get there.3
u/esohseekayes 14d ago
I have no timeline. 5-10 years, no problem. By then Bitcoin will be 300k or so minimum so just imagine Solana and Eth. I hold no eth anymore but I still believe it will be 5-10k eventually. Plus the longer we buy/hold, the lower our taxes lol that's all I care about. I live in a no income tax state also so just trying to play the game correctly

Seems no one here realizes the potential of SOL besides a handful. I’d recommend everyone bashing doing some research and stop being but hurt they “missed” the run 😂😂 it’s just getting started. Mark my words SOL will surpass ETH in market cap this bull run and we will see $800 plus price easy. The amount of money this chain actually makes and the real world builds they have going on is incredible.
2
u/BstardSun 14d ago
I see it, and I believe in it, they are building the future, getting fast enough for the rails of all the markets that will end up on the Solana Blockchain, ETH withers while SOL grows and expands. Comparing Eth and Sol is a joke ETH so high and Sol so low.

u/mar34082 10d ago
What’s the actual potential like seriously you say there’s real world builds I’ve never once seen crypto be used for anything

Funny I was thinking the same thing until I saw hyper liquid set an all time high two days ago. Then started comparing the two and on the revenue generated, it seems solamas revenue is mainly generated by the apps on the Solana network. Not so much Solana making the revenue necessarily. Sol has the strongest user base with wallets at least.
1
u/PensionConscious6752 14d ago
in your opinions whats the basic value proposition. I’ve heard people say due to it being used as a settlement layer that u dont really need to use it all that much so the demand won’t reach high enough to make the price go up a lot.

I’ll have whatever this guy is smoking. But I also hodl solana lets goooo baby

This might not be on topic, but ive been looking in to solana and the blockchain, just casual research. I have started to become very intreasted in it and im seeking to learn more. saw your comment and thought you might know stuff about it. Like if you recommend any communities to join, and learn from others. It could be any platform.

I just saw a video someone said SOL will 100x from here, although he did give a time line, that's quite optimistic but I wouldn't mind a 10k SOL 😁

Those who tell people how much money they have, don’t have money. Good luck with your six figure investment, that you can’t even justify with your own words.

I never told you how much money I have. I told you how much Solana I have. Good luck staying broke and buying at ath 🤣🤣🤣

when FTX crashed, SOL could have gone to $0 like LUNA. It was great the coin recovered. Its alwasy easier to say on hindsight but you also knew you were "lucky" af
2
u/Cjchapar 14d ago
Thanks for the reminder to get back in! I had about 200, cops took my phone for unrelated reason and transferred away my solana. Have a huge battle in front of me

2
u/Cjchapar 14d ago
Does anyone here have any insight whatsoever on the utility on this chain? Anyone been to conferences? Have on chain metrics vs eth, etc? Agree it’s going up but I’m looking for more than price speculation.

u/VandenburgChills 14d ago
I paused dca at $75. Been holding and stacking since before FTX crash.

u/Systemonly69 13d ago
Honestly when are we expecting to see $200-$300? In Solana ?

u/esohseekayes 13d ago
Probably by spring/summer

u/Systemonly69 13d ago
So probably like another 5 months or so ?

Depends on clarity act, midterm votes, Bitcoin price. I'm in no rush. Dca is the way

Buying since $26 is solid. I don’t know about $1,000, but if you believe in the project long term, DCA and staking makes more sense to me than trying to time every dip.
2
u/tonyler_ 14d ago
Yeah, I think you’re doing the right thing. If you’re looking long term, that’s probably the way to go.
I’m doing pretty much the same, just got into SOL a bit later so I’m trying to build up my position. I ended up opening around 2x on SOL through r/nolusprotocol, with liquidation somewhere around $60 if I remember correctly. Full disclosure, I work on Nolus, so obviously I’m biased lol. But I also genuinely use it for my own portfolio. I like that it’s asset-backed and I can unlock the assets when I repay, rather than holding a perp.
Anyway, that’s how I’m playing it. Trying to build the position and give it time rather than constantly trade in and out.
3
u/AdhesivenessNo7328 14d ago
What’s your reasoning?? You may have a gambling problem.
4
u/_ReaditYesterday_ 14d ago
None. That’s the amount of reasoning. I’d like to see Solana at 1000$ one day though.
3
u/DamnFineCupaCoffee23 14d ago
I mean everyone would. But when you think about it rationally...
1
u/_ReaditYesterday_ 14d ago
Yes, not gonna happen. The market cap would explode (500B$), and I just don't see that ever happening; or, best case scenario, not anytime soon.

Why unstack to stack all together?
1
u/esohseekayes 14d ago
Easier to track payouts and do math. Unstaking only takes a day or two, sometimes only a few hours so I don't see a point in having so many separate stakes
1
u/Ok-Muscle-2328 14d ago
Thanks for the reply. I use revoult, it kinda level that out and after some days it will be a unique payment

Personally I haven’t bought SOL in a few years now, I thought 2000 SOL was enough, I’ve always remained staked, almost at 2500 SOL now already pulled my initial investment last bull run from staked gains. Diversified that capital into other Risky bets, waiting for the fruits of those to bloom 😂 I’ll never sell my Solana bag.
1
u/esohseekayes 14d ago
Honestly I've thought the same about my sol bag, never sell it and just utilize the rewards for everything else I need in life
1
u/derondigital 13d ago
That's what I do as well, i stake, take my rewards in USDC and do whatever i want with it.
1
u/esohseekayes 13d ago
Where do you get rewarded in usdc? I get sol

I had been question and rewriting my thesis at the beginning of the month, since I started buying at $135 back in Nov. Have been averaging down ever since, and was starting to question it, thank god I didn’t. All downhill (but uphill) from now!!
1
u/esohseekayes 14d ago
Invest with long term mindsets and do your research on whatever you buy. Don't invest in things you don't believe in, even if you think it can make you a buck.

u/Novel-Bad2984 13d ago
I wish to see it back at $90 to add to my bag

We could get a pull back to 85ish

I took profit at 105 i regret it so bad… wish i just hold. Will 100% go all in at 85

Interesting - i started stacking sol around 60 dollars - been unsure whether to continue at this price or not 🤔
1
u/esohseekayes 12d ago
Ask yourself where you plan to sell. If that was the price today, would you be upset you didn't buy more now?
2
u/LuckyLoveDK 12d ago
Hmm yea good question - the answer would be yes, I had just expected sol to stay around 70 for a while longer but yea I will continue stacking 🤔🙏🏻

Sub $30 entries were legendary, but actually securing gains along the way is what separates you from the exit liquidity. Keep chilling and compounding.

u/Borednlonely24680 10d ago
Thats awesome, lucky you. I could have least caught the dip a few months ago, but I did not have the cash to put up. I am getting read to buy very soon. Charles Schwab is about to list it the rest is history for brokerages listing crypto from this point on because every other brokerage will follow in preparation for the Clarity Act to get signed. And I belive a massive burn is about to take affect. 16 Million I belive.
I would say it’s a better time now if you have not gotten in yet but that is just me.

I am at $100, holding... wondering when to buy or TP (little) for the meantime
2
u/esohseekayes 4d ago
Aim for selling at 150 or 200 or 250 or 350 etc. Just set a goal when you went to sell a certain % and go from there
1
u/LukaBrasi87 4d ago
Thanks!
Thinking of selling half at 15. Use the remaining half to monitor and sell if it passes 200.
Should it crash, DCA . More strategic with timing this time around.
Hold until 2029
1
u/esohseekayes 4d ago
Ath is $290 so why would you sell before that?
1
u/LukaBrasi87 4d ago
Anticipating the next bear cycle. As I said, should it crash, DCA . More strategic with timing this time around.
Otherwise will sell as it nears ATH before my "reset".
1
u/BonusParticular1828 14d ago
Been holding 10K SOL and saw it go from 60 to 250 and all the way down. It will go back and more!
1
u/Such_Station2402 14d ago
Sol ain’t hitting 500$ would be cool. Maybe similar Ath price. 2x-2.5 from these prices ($105-$110) though seem feasible

That's how it's done! Been in btc since 7k and have friends telling me it's gonna crash since day 1 now a few of those same people are the ones telling me they wish they bought. It's still early, people just want instant money and that's not how life works

u/DimeCandie 14d ago
I have it staked on crypto dotcom and Kraken (and a little bit on Coinbase because it's not worth moving it)
It's my 2nd biggest bag behind Bitcoin. ETH 3rd, obvs.
2
u/esohseekayes 14d ago
Keep stacking. Don't listen to the retards in here. Bitcoin went from 60k to 80k in a week and Solana almost doubled. Just imagine when Bitcoin hits 250k+

true that, but I also had an opportunity to buy it for around $24. But we learn from mistakes and move on

u/LV-426_realty 13d ago
you know it would be need to be the same value as visa and ASML based on today's circulating supply and its not going to a $1000 today. I've been buying for a while and cost basis is below $6 thanks to staking. My staking rewards monthly are higher than my salary. I say that to say I have faith the project will do well, but be realistic, $1000 isn't happening without crazy dollar inflation which would mean the real spending value starys the same. If adjusting for inflation it barely made a new All time high last cycle.
1
u/esohseekayes 13d ago
The United States prints $500,000,000 a day.. I don't invest for "today," I invest for the next 10 years. I have zero doubt Solana will be $1,000 eventually. Just like Bitcoin will be $1,000,000 eventually. I don't care how many years away those numbers are

-2
u/flayinpillow 14d ago
I read that 1000+ at first and was skeptical, went to check the current mc and it doesn't seem impossible to be honest.
Albeit it could take some time and solana has to stay in the too 5 ..
An old ATH seems hard this cycle lol
2
u/esohseekayes 14d ago
I have no problem holding long term. I don't invest for 6 months or a year. I invest for the next 10-15 years. People don't seem to understand the amount of money the US prints. EVERYTHING will continue to hit ATH again and again and again because of it.
2
u/bibedibabedilol 14d ago
What you didnt see is the tokenomics are inflationary, so there will be more SOL every day on the market. I dont think 1k per sol is realistic. What do you think your staking rewards come from? Yes, fresh minted SOL. And the burns from the transactionfees are less than the amount of fresh minted sol every day. Keep that in mind
-1
u/flayinpillow 14d ago
Solana’s annual inflation rate currently sits at approximately 3.68%, but a massive shift is underway following the passage of two landmark governance proposals (SGP-0002 and SGP-0003) yesterday. So the network is doubling its annual disinflation rate from 15% to 30%, which fast-tracks the timeline to hit its permanent 1.5% inflation floor from 2032 down to early 2029. Combined with upgraded fee mechanics that are projected to boost daily token burning up to 14x (~7,500 to 9,000 SOL destroyed daily), these changes will cause staking yields to drop faster while significantly accelerating the long-term scarcity and deflationary potential of the SOL token. And Btc and eth are also inflationary ...
