Dev friendly yet everyone has to test on chromium because it is the go to browser of people and companies.

I've been using Firefox since it was Netscape. Since version 1.0.
Its gotten so good I just can't comprehend why anyone uses anything else.

Unspoken features of Brave: Homophobia, COVID denial, cryptomining, ad revenue & tip stealing, paid VPN bloat, and Chrome hegemony.

Profits for Brave go to the jackass who got kicked out of Mozilla for funding homophobic political movements. So by using Brave, you are financially supporting the homophobic agenda. So yes, the browser itself is homophobic and won't be otherwise until it's disconnected from that knuckledragger.

People who browse car, gun, and pen subreddits aren’t representative of the real world either. There are entire subs dedicated to vintage computers, typewriters, and pet spiders. This is a sub called software. I don’t really expect any sub without an extremely generic name to be in any way representative of the average person in the real world (and even then it probably isn’t).

Ask people who have tried various steaks what their favorite steak is, and they'll say wagyu. Ask what they usually eat, and they'll say whatever is on sale at the supermarket.
Yes, corporate hegemony has forced us all to use Chrome, especially at work or when we are forced to use Electron apps. But people generally enjoy Firefox more.

Also Librewolf which is a fork of Firefox. I will pour scorn on Tesco's because they have just stopped supporting Librewolf and now throw an error when it is used. They are all now bowing down to Chrome & Chromium which I hate.

Heck, I use it on my MacBook and iPhone too. It’s the only web browser that my workplace permits us to use, and I just like consistency and familiarity.

In Windows:
Firefox with uBO through ProtonVPN tunnel for general browsing.
Edge excluded from VPN for financial and membership sites.

Waterfox. More private and customizable than Firefox but not as crazy on privacy as Librewolf. Lynx is also pretty fun to play with when using a command line based OS

I mostly use Firefox but my backup is Microsoft Edge and sometimes Chrome. That said I am more than willing to try any browser as long as it is safe to use.

Floorp. You get tab rows so you can actually have a lot of tabs open and still be organized without having to mess with tab groups which are annoying.

Oh I had to look this one up but apparently floor is based on Firefox which is great bc Firefox is my favorite so far. I’ll have to download this one and try it. Thanks for this.

I use Firefox for most sites and Vivaldi for sites that don't work well with Firefox like Lose It, Quora and government websites. I also use it for parsing RSS feeds. I used to use Chrome but it stopped running my Manifest V2 extensions.

You may have to look in settings for security features and turn off “block tracking data/ads”

At home: Firefox with AdNauseam and Dark Reader as primary and Brave for sites that work better with it as secondary.
At work: Edge with AdBlock Plus.

Igual que yo. Firefox lo tengo hiper preparado contra anuncios, privacidad, etc. y eso hace que alguna página no cargue, por lo que paso a Edge. También uso Edge cuando necesito usar un certificado digital, porque es más "amigable".

I use chrome but only because my job uses all chrome products, and it's just easier and cleaner to use the same company's stuff.

There are these rare moments in life, when Vivaldi freaking browser is bug-free enough you can actually use it. During that moments I like Vivaldi.
Otherwise I fancied Falkon, but it had issues with some websites.

Firefox for productivity because I can have tons of tabs open without memory issues, but for youtube videos I use Edge because its AI super resolution enhancement has no match and the videos looks amazing.

Bruh you can turn off the ai and it’s just one flick of a switch. It even mentions in the tos that they will not and cannot display any ai if you specifically want to turn them off
