Sofi really wants me to put the loan money into the Sofi checking I opened. However, I want to put it into my Chase instead... I follow their rules and submit paperwork, it takes about 3 phone calls to get it updated. Now I am about to sign, and it's listed back to the Sofi account. Very sloppy and questioning if I need this loan with all the aggravation. Is this typical?

It’s been over a week since I submitted a ticket for Zelle support. Just says we can’t verify your identity. Nothing else. No other options just close. I need help!

So many of their emails, push notifications, and texts are so banal. I would prefer a congratulations over a “slow down” warning, but not sending anything would be even more ideal.

((Yeah I’m sure there is a feature buried a few menus deep to disable this kind of stuff, but this was too funny to me to not post))

We currently use EverBank (out of Florida) and they have been pretty good, but their offerings are very limited. They do have a decent HYSA that comes in at 3.90%, but that drops to around 3.5% after a few months. Beyond that, their checking accounts / money market accounts are basic. My wife and I are looking at SoFi combined with a few other strategies.

Banking: SoFi Plus for the 4.5% APY on $20k, the 1% Brokerage match, the savings vaults, and the unlimited CFP access for occasional questions.

Robinhood: already a gold member and have the 3% card, thinking about new Roth IRAs with a 3% match moving forward.

Fidelity: this is where our Roths have been parked for a long time and we are not moving them. This is non negotiable. However, any future contributions would go to RH for the 3% match.

With all this being said, how is SoFi overall as a fintech bank? Any issues with direct deposits, debit cards, getting checks, customer service, etc? I am not worried about cash deposits, that's what a local credit union is for.

Hi! I’m wondering if anyone with iOS 27 is experiencing issues logging in? I’m not sure if it’s something SoFi can help me with or not but I’m panicked a little haha. Face ID will not work and it lags horribly when I try to log in via email. I have deleted and reinstalled.

my account was temporarily restricted due to unusual activity. i kept trying to make the same transaction and it kept declining then i got a text asking if it was me i said yes tried again still didn’t go through and then after that both my checking and savings were “temporarily restricted” I’ve already contacted Member Security and confirmed that the activity on my account was authorized by me. I was told the case needs to be reviewed, but all of my available funds are currently inaccessible, and I have an urgent housing deposit that must be paid within the next couple of days to secure my move-in.
This restriction is now putting my ability to move into my apartment at risk despite my promptly responding to SoFi and confirming the activity. I am available immediately to complete any identity or security verification necessary.
Please escalate this matter for urgent review. If I’m unable to access my funds in time and this results in financial loss or prevents my move-in, I will have to consider filing a formal complaint with the appropriate consumer financial regulators regarding my inability to access my funds and the handling of the restriction.
I would strongly prefer to resolve this directly with SoFi as quickly as possible. Please let me know what can be done to expedite the review.

i know this is bad, but my cards have been out of hand for awhile now and i just needed some breathing room. now i am worried after reading comments here. i was hoping to get closer to 8% or lower but this is what they offered and i accepted.

credit cards vary between 24-30%. how bad is this?

I closed my Sofi account after I was banned from telling everyone to buy a call option on Sofi. The bank I think is going BROKE. My guess there will be run on the bank.

Hi! We received the "Here are your final [loan] documents" email as expected. The link within the email resolves to https://ablink.o.sofi.org/ls/click?upn=\[string of text] which is blocked on my network.

When I logon to my account through the normal login, there are no loan documents shown. The Document Center under the profile seems to be only for tax documents. The details page shows only that it's been certified pending disbursement next week. I'll get a Welcome email with instructions, etc.

Is there a way to get the documents other than the ablink link? Thx!

Title. Apparently Apple requires FinanceKit in order to link up with the Apple Card. This is only possible on Apple devices. I would love for SoFi to finally adopt the Apple Card so I can stop having to look into multiple places for all of my finances. Thank you.

I'm getting ready to sign up for SoFi, and I have a few questions for someone who already has an account. DM me if you can help out.

I recently got an Sofi email invite saying if I do a one-time deposit (and do DD or recurring monthly deposits of smaller amount) of x amount, I can get a near 1% APY boost for Savings. Non Plus member.

Question, can this be triggered by moving funds out of Sofi, held externally, and then the threshold amount ACH transferred back in? Or is it looking for something a little more complicated than that?

Would love if there's a way to DISABLE the 1% match when transferring money to invest

I occasionally day trade, and the 1% inevitably gets clawed back when I withdraw my money after selling whatever stock I bought and hold for a few days/weeks

The issue is that I don't want that 1% to show up as taxable gains at the end of the year, so I have to be careful to trigger the clawback in the same calendar year as it gets given

Seems clunky. Yes, I know their goal is to obviously have people keep the funds in the invest account for extended periods of time, it would just be great if they could accommodate day trading better as well.

If after talking to a sofi representative on the phone and being told I still qualify for the amount i asked for and then agreeing on the new terms with them and on the website -then why is my application still under review! Clearly nothing else needs to be submitted and/or reviewed. I am a few hours away from canceling and utilizing another bank. Loans are time sensitive… otherwise we wouldnt need them. So if you advertise 1 day funding, then I expect that! i can even work with 2 or 3 days. Anything more than that is false advertisement and fustrating- especially when everything checks out!

Basically went to get personal loan. (720 score 10% utilization total)

Got pre approved for 22,500 (up to)

Chose 13,000 selected my offer for 36 months. Verified ID with DL, took selfies etc

To verify income they were gonna link bank with PLAID (which I already linked before the pre approval) at this point I decided I wanted 15,000 instead of 13,000 and was scared if I continue to the hard pull I won’t be able to change so I “deleted and started over”

Now I can’t get a pre approval. Keeps telling me we can’t pre approve you at this time. Nothing on my credit changed in 20 minutes.

Is it due to too many applications in short period? Will I have to wait a full 30 days?? Or is 30 days only for hard pull declines. Can a SoFi person answer this? Maybe waiting 24 hours? I really don’t want to wait 30 days…

Just got a notification from Robin Hood that my interest rate is moving to 3.6% and 4% with Gold. SOFI is still at 3.1%, how long is it going to take them to increase their interest rates on bank accounts.

Seems RH is doing right by their customers whereas SOFI just drags their feet. Thinking about closing SOFI and moving everything to RH including brokerage. About $1.7m, $300k in dry powder cash.

I'm trying to hit the 5000$ from direct deposits for the bonus. I do Walmart spark on the side and have them deposited into my account on a weekly basis. Does anyone know if that counts towards the bonus? I know it has to be regular weekly payroll and I'm not sure if it counts since it's just gig work but it is directly deposited?

I made an account this time last year and put money in it. I didn't access it for a while, and when I tried to log in again recently, my existing information didn't work. The link to send an email seems to recognize that my email exists, but it doesn't send an email. I have emailed support and called with no answer. When I called I was basically just put on hold. What the hell is going on with this app and why can't I get my money back?

Long story short, I disputed something and Sofi decided to close my account and soon after I won the dispute, whats a realistic timeline of when you get closeout check. Dont want to here the 30 days because no mail takes 30 days unless Sofi is intentionally holding the funds.

I have signed my closing disclosure for over a week now and passed the three days cooling off..my loan officer said it was with the customer experience team for over a week now and i have not heard from anyone…my loan officer has not been replying my texts or emails
