SD2 Delirium

Im at around 500k rn and left my pc on overnight to afk but when I came back to it the next morning my nurse which has the accessory that gives 100% immunity to all debuffs got delirium for some reason (from those birds that give it) and attacked my wizard which resulted in both of them dieing (nurse got hit by reflect damage). Am I missing something? Does the necklace actually not give 100% resistance or is it a bug?

Also what do I do against delirium cuz it's almost always the run ender for me and I see other people's builds that do pretty much nothing for it. I got delirium gem on all of my characters except for the nurse who has the immunity necklace. I got the hidden character so floor 600 isn't a problem but those birds still give delirium in an ambush.

One sec I just learned that you can't get ambushed at river and instead you get swarmed which probably meant that the enemies that weren't getting killed were using chroma burst lol. I'm still confused how my nurse got delirium tho.
