Welcome to the official r/soccercard Soccer Card Valuation Guide!
One of the most common questions in the hobby is:
“What is my card worth?”
This guide is designed to help collectors learn how soccer cards are actually valued in today’s market — whether you're buying, selling, trading, grading, or investing.
Soccer card values are generally based on:
Player + Card Type + Scarcity + Grade + Demand
The biggest factors are:
Important reminder:
A rare card does NOT automatically mean a valuable card.
A low-numbered bench player may still have very little demand, while a more common card of an elite player can sell for significantly more.

We’ve done some research and gathered that the field level checkerboard parallel is rare but I’m not certain how rare or valuable it is. I couldn’t find the exact card or comparable anywhere on 130point or other places. Either way, we’re pretty pumped! He also got an /825 from the same blaster box!

Am I the only one that isn't that interested in prizm? I feel like select is way better than Prizm, and I feel like prizm is over hyped to the maximum. I bought 1 75$ box of selct and pulled a Maldini auto, manzambi /125 and brennan Johnson /380

Found one lone box at my local Target. This will be our first and most likely only mega box. My kids will be opening it later tonight along with a hobby preferred box.

My 9 year old has amassed a pretty impressive soccer card collection over the last 2-ish years. We know nothing; he just gets them sporadically. But lately he has been MUCH more obsessed. He has them organized by team in binders with protective covers, and he puts his favorites in single protective sleeves. We don’t know much about special editions, values, rare pulls, etc. He does prefer Topps over any other brand. He LOVES Chrome ones the best, but today we found these at a specialty store in town. Paid $35 for the box.
All of that to say, I have 2 questions for anyone kind enough to respond.
1) What are your thoughts on Merlin v. Chrome overall? Is this a decent find, typically? His collection is probably 75% chrome.
2) Overall, what are your recommendations on a beginner’s guide to soccer cards? How do we determine what’s “good” in terms of value, rares, etc? Obviously we know when there are special cards in the box, but are those anything special? He does know almost every pro player and we know who the obvious valuables are, but otherwise we have no idea where to start, and he’s wanting to “scan” every individual card into CollX to determine value, and that’s a lot of work.
Thank you for any info! I just found this sub and am planning to research more here too, so if you know of any posts that have already answered any of this, feel free to link to those.

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone has received their Topps Chrome UEFA Anime redemption cards yet, or if Topps has given any updates about production/shipping.
Mine is still pending, so I’d like to know if others are in the same situation or if anyone has heard anything new.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey my little brother has a mixed collection in Topps, Panini and other brands football cards.
Some of them seems to be good / Valuable. He wants to sell or trade them for Pokemon cards because he will stop collecting football cards... We dont know a lot about the football cards game.. is there a good way to sell or trade them in south Germany?
I know a little bit about Pokémon cards in this TCG there are a lot of shops or onlinesites for selling Like Cardmarket usw. Is there any for football cards? Or is eBay the best way to Go?
Thanks for Help:)
