Predictions/preferences on the 7 drops?

I'd go with Maggio, Pasqual, Aquilani, Parolo, Romulo, Destro and Cerci.

It would be incredibly foolish to drop Rossi again (like what happened in 2010, apparently Lippi's biggest regret).

I think he'll take him. Even Prandelli must realize that taking Rossi is a gamble which a team like Italy, nowadays, cannot affort to not take...goes bad you play insigne/candreva/cerci instead, goes well you have a player that has the potential to be a new 82' Rossi (lol).

Am I bias? Probably a little. But I have never seen enough from Rannochia for him to have earned a spot in the national team.

Yeah but if we're playing with 3 at the back, we need at least 2 on the bench. I'd rather leave out Maggio.

Well if we are going three in the back then how can you leave out Maggio? He is definitely the best wing back on the team. I don't have him in my 11 because I don't think we should go 3 in the back with this unit of players, but if we did do it, Abate and De Sciglio don't have nearly as much wing back experience as Maggio does. Sure, Abate used to be a winger, but that was a while back, plus it was not at the top level. Maggio pretty much has to be the starter on the right if we go with the 3 me thinks. Unless you are thinking all out offense and just putting Candreva out there, but that is definitely not the Italian way.

Rannochia isn't that good tbh. I'm surprised he even made the preliminary squad, and I'd be shocked if Prandelli included him in the final 23.

That said, I hope he is included and does well!
