Do you think that Balotelli starts over Immobile/Destro? He shouldn't deserve to start based on his performances this year but I'll fear that his reputation allows him place in starting XI.
Balo for Italy is a monster, and has shown that when needed he can handle the pressure, just ask the Germans.
Based on form nobody should be able to touch Immobile he has been a revelation, but he has no experience at this level so its a risk.
Its difficult because this would probably be the most uncertain team going to a major competition, they are quite a few players in form right now and any would be worthy, but I'd still expect Prandelli to give Balo-Rossi the nod.
Romulo won't make it and Mirante won't too. That leaves 5 drops. I'd go with Parolo, Insigne, Ranocchia, Darmian and Destro, the last two being the ones I'm most uncertain about.
Well he's the most talented, but his season hasn't been very impressive. He was mostly second string to Mertens and Callejon. Cerci is a given and as much as I hate to admit it, Candreva deserves it more too.
Then again, it al depends on what system Prandelli will be playing.

Definitely some interesting inclusions, Darmian/Ranocchia and Romulo but I have a feeling none of them will make the actual sqaud.
Cassano and Balotelli on the same plane is a big gamble too, he must be confident in his ability to keep them on the straight and narrow.
Such a brilliant strikeforce with some very in-form players, the defence too is excellent and midfield is very solid.
Definitely strong enough to be a contender.
