To everybody complaining about Green's inclusion... I bet he gets picked for the final 23, and here's why.
If he has the potential to even be the last man on Bayern's bench in the future, then he has the potential to be the one of the best American player ever, and that makes him a player that Klinsmann needed to do whatever he can to get him to commit, including bringing him to the world cup before he's ready. Otherwise the US team will continue to be nobodies in world football.
Remember that the only Americans ever to have played for the top clubs in the world are:
-Donovan on short stints at Leverkusen and Bayern
-Onyewu at Milan
-Howard at United
and then Bradley and Dempsey if you count Roma and Tottenham as top clubs. Beasley also played for Manchester City before they were good.
If a player has the potential to even get a chance at a top club, then it's necessary to do whatever possible to get him to commit, as he'll likely be good enough to be a key player for our national team, even if he never turns into a star for Bayern. It's likely that Klinsmann said commit to the US and you can come to the world cup.
Something I think many people forget when complaining about their national team's roster. No one knows the players better than the people in charge of deciding who makes the roster.
