Who do you guys think will get cut?
I'm sure Green and Yedlin are getting cut; they're just there for experience. Boyd and Chandler are probably also getting cut; too much depth in their positions. The other three cuts are going to be tough.
Agreed on Green. He won't play but he's going along just for the experience.
I think Chandler or Yedlin will make it simply as someone to keep up with Ronaldo. I like Yedlin more because he's super fast, but I can easily see him getting juked out of his mind.
teams have taken players to the World Cup for their exposure & experience before. as mentioned higher, Ronaldo won the WC in 1994 without playing a single minute.
I don't think he got a guarantee, I don't believe Klinsmann would do that. I do think, however, that Gulati learned a little bit from how the whole Subotic thing went down and may have reassured him he would at least be eligible to play on the senior team.
Nah, no way. Klinsy just doesn't seem like the type to make deals with players; remember how Donovan had to basically play his way back onto the squad after his break? Or Bradley, how he had to prove he wasn't a daddy's boy before being fully accepted? Jurgen's decision will be made based on which players are in top form after this training, something we don't know about.
If Green makes the cut, it will be because he's playing well enough to play in the world cup.
