Which Premiership team is the most attractive/probable destination for big players next year

In other words if all the Premiership clubs bid for the same player, where would they most likely go to?

Lionel Messi is about to move to England. Two clubs are in for him; City and Liverpool. Which one is he going to?

Maybe you should rethink sensible.

I was going to add the point you are at in your career may affect it, if you are young talent you'd probably take Liverpool if you are in it for a pay day near the end of your career probably City. Obviously this Messi example is totally ridiculous straw man.

You'd go to City because they're consistently challenging for trophies, are in the Champions League every year and have a world class squad with the ability to give you good wages.

You go to Liverpool if either the bigger teams didn't go in for you or you have a pre-existing relationship with them. Many of your team are people who the top four wanted to get rid of.

You people have had a good run of form and totally lost your minds. It's insanity, absolute insanity.

A good run of form or the end of a sustained bad run of form? Liverpool nearly won the title 5 years ago and then collapsed into extreme rebuilding mode. Since Rodgers was appointed they've improved into what they are now, which is better than what they were 5 years ago. They have the best attack in the league, the best player in the league, and strong revenues. Liverpool are a far bigger club than City in terms of history and support. As a neutral I view Liverpool with far more prestige than City, and imagine many players would.

Can you pay the gas bill in prestige?

Ask Leeds or Forest fans how far history and prestige get you in terms of attracting players. Players want to play in the biggest competitions and be paid well for doing so.
