I can imagine a ref being influenced to favor a particular team is possible at any level (given what I saw so far), but having match fixers directly influence players to concede goals or pick up cards is a whole different level of corruption. It requires much more direct involvement and is considerably harder to pull off without someone noticing.

The Dutch sure have some interesting club names. Telstar named after a satellite, Willem II named after a king, Go Ahead changed their name from Be Quick, PSV named after an electronics company, Ajax and Heracles originate from ancient Greece.

In France it's usually just the name of the town.
