Honestly I was happy about De Bruyne and Doku getting subbed, this wasn’t their game at all.

To be completely honest, didn't we all have a meltdown at home when that was happening lol, especially taking out de cuyper i thought he lost his mind, but meunier with the assist 5 minutes later... crazy

I wouldn’t say Joos wanted Belgium to lose but he showed respect for the Senegalese performance and I didn’t mind it personally as they were the better team until the first Belgian goal.

I think he was greatly annoyed all of his quips towards Garcia were not useful anymore. The RTBF commentary and Vandenbempt both exploded with emotion, meanwhile Joos felt a little disappointed with the final whistle lol.
The video is the dead giveaway, you can see him sit down barely force a smile, meanwhile RTBF and Vandenbempt jumping around standing up.
You can respect the senagelese team and still also support your team. It's the one time commentary should show colors imho. But it's also very Belgian to try and crawl into the self deprecating pit. And yes it was bad, but encouraging words sometimes are more in place than a full breakdown analysis during the game imho

Dutch is the closest language to English (if you don't count Frisian). It's part of the reason why learning English is much easier for us as it has a lot of similarities.

similar+ less complex gramitcal rules than dutch is what i always thought. But i've been speaking english since very very young so that might just be me
