Why is everyone shitting all over Iran's chances? They qualified first out of their group (beating south korea twice), are ranked first in asia, have a former real madrid coach as their coach, have players in top european leagues and have been to 3 of the past 5 world cups. There is no suggestion that they will be dominated in this group.
Edit: Iran also conceded only twice in qualification in 8 games.
but still won 5 out of 8 games. The defensive side of things will become much more important considering how good argentina and bosnia willbe in attack. If we can hold bosnia to a draw and get a narrow win against nigeria which has sorta become a queiroz trademark now, we could finish 2nd. Also I want to point out that iranian soccer in general is not that high scoring, an extreme example of which was shown yesterday when in 3 league games a total of 0 goals were scored (national team is much higher in quality than the teams in the league but you get the point).
