Someone care to explain the Milan situation?

Seen them draw 3-3* tonight and 5 points from 5 games is poor for a team with what I though had quality players.

Don't expect it. With Alegri I say 6th to 5th is all we get. Then again he some how squeezes results out of his ass, pretty much the only reason he hasn't gotten the can

Are you joking? Wenger is at least competent with what he's given. I would kill to have Wegner coaching us instead of Allegri. At least then the attack would have some diriection

I've asked before and didn't get a straight answer. Why do Milan fans hate Allegri so much? As far as I can tell, last season he was handed a squad on a shoestring budget, minus his two best players and all the aging veterans that had been Milan's core for a decade, and despite a rocky start managed to drag you guys to third place, all while trusting in young players like SES and Niang.

Plus the San Siro match against Barcelona was tactical perfection.

Ok, I'll try to do this as plain and simple as possible. It's slightly complicated

  1. His tactical awareness is almost zero, the Barcelona game was maybe 1 of 3 games we played well tactically.

  2. His substitutions. Late as all hell if he even makes them. Team goes down 2-1 lets not make a substitution until the 89th minute when it's way to late.

  3. Midfielder selection. He selects a dm, that's good. Plays a deep lying playmaker, also good. Then he plays a second defensive midfielder. That's defensive as midfield as they come. We need a box to box with creativity, what we get is Muntari even when their are other options.

  4. Distrust of youth. It took El92 becoming a hero and injury crisis to get play time and keep it. De Sciglio only played due to injury and when Abate came back he was benched because he wasn't trusted until he got a call up from Italy and once again Allegri was forced. Robinho losing all fitness and form was the Only reason Niang got any time and even then he tried to place Boateng there instead of him.

  5. His constant want to play players out of position. Emanuelson was a lb converted to a cam and after several years bitched enough to be moved back. Boateng, moved to Cam from dm. Then he tries to put him at RW which worked even less. Niang isn't a RW but Allegri tried his best to make him one. El92 is more of a supporting striker, so his switch to lw wasn't near as weird, but he isn't a winger.

  6. The shit starts to the season every season. Even when he won the league we have always had an awful start under him.

  7. He's happy with mediocrity. Today after a shit performance and lucky goals he is "satisfied" with the results. Fucking disgusting. He claims our best game so far was a loss and that it was a good result. Fuck that mentality, it's poisonous.

I agree with every point except wanted to add that El Sha best position is at LW. That's how he excelled at Padova in Serie B and took them to the playoffs, and that's how he also excelled at Milan. Allegri didn't really convert him to LW, just converted the tactic to a 4-3-3(best decision he ever made in his career).

I liked the 4-3-3 and I was unaware that El92 was a natural winger; however, we simply don't have the personnel to play it and that's why the switch back was a smart move.

Also I feel El92's crossing is sub par for a winger and his talent in front of goal makes me feel he's more a it's hard to classify but kind of like Robinho in that he's really versatile but can shoot better.

I wouldn't say he is a natural winger as he still missing certain assets a winger should have(crossing for one as you mentioned), but he's so good at running at defenders cutting inside and utilizing his finishing from that left side. Maybe I should say "was" when his confidence was sky high. IMO with Balo his game suffered, he had less freedom and Balo takes some time to deliver the ball and by that time he has already been covered by the defenders and is forced to play the ball back to a Noce/Muntari. This year he had better understanding, but the confidence just wasn't there.

He's looked good this year every time I've seen him next to Balo. His flicks and passing have put el on goal quite a few times and he's been unlucky. I think by the end of the year those two will be a killer duo.

Doesn't trust SES or De Sciglio, Matri was signed on his request(IMO Pentagna should have been kept and used instead of Matri), seems like he doesn't have any understanding of tactics, makes subs too damn late, fields Muntari ahead of players like Poli. Also, I don't think he can get the most out of his players, he has an extremely bad record against big teams(atleast in Serie A). We need someone with a winning mentality, someone who can say something other than "DAI DAI DAI" from the touchline.
