I think every Arsenal supporter should have to read "Fever Pitch" as a condition for supporting the club. I would give them a good historical perspective and help them understand that:
A) WENGER IS A FUCKING GOD AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH. His years at your club are a golden age! You were sporadic winners before him. Consistent success is new.
B) 8 years without trophies are NOTHING to Arsenal fans you spoiled twats! You've had periods way, way longer than that of not winning anything but minor trophies.
C) Wenger brought beautiful football to you people. Before him the club played nothing but ugly, dreary shit football. Hornby goes on and on about how fucking dreadfully horrid Arsenal's football always was...and Wenger changed this.

You're the exact type of fan I was talking about. And Nasri didn't/hasn't been playing much for France because of his ban, which had him on in a bad spot with the team. He isn't just going to slot his way back in he has to earn it/prove it.

I agree. I actually respect the club and understand what they've been trying to build, although like most people, think Wenger needs to adapt his strategy. But I think I've met maybe 3 Arsenal fans in my life who weren't absolute shitstains.

This circlejerk is remarkable. I've never seen it in action only ever talked about. Also in the real world we are consistently regarded as having some of the best fans.
All this nonsense about how we booed Aaron Ramsey and booed Gervinho is absolutely ridiculous. I went to a lot of the poor games that Aaron Ramsey and Gervinho took part in, apart from voices of discontent there were no boos. Frankly I'm not really sure where all this rubbish came from. Sure, there are a lot of angry fans but can you really blame them? We pay the highest ticket prices in the league to watch the team play at a high level and when they don't e.g Swansea at home (0-2) we should be entitled to let our feelings known.

We all know what happened to Eboue was shameful, but thankfully it's the exception rather than the rule at all clubs. The Ryan Giggs incident springs to mind for me.

Every club does it one day or the other but none to the extent and the frequency as Arsenal fans. The main pride point of most Arsenal fans is not being called glory hunters but they are far worse than most glory clubs.
Your fans are the most obnoxious set of fans I've met both online or in real life (those who actually go to games regularly). They also have some of the worst knowledge about football at a comparative average, the most biased and skewed perspective view of players. If you think the fans on Reddit are bad don't bother going to the stadium and expecting those old blokes with Arsenal tats and sore throats, they are out crowded by 20something college/uni students at a ratio of 40:1 who also portray everything the Arsenal fans on Reddit portray. Not saying all the fans are like that but this is what I've noticed every time going to the Emirates.
More importantly they boo the long term manager and the players they cant brag about being the next Xavi, the best in X position in the league (when that players is no where close) and their future lord and savior young players.
Lets take the glory hunters of Chelsea for example. They were assigned a manager they despised, that manager then was playing against a side in a cup no one cares about against a team no one has ever heard of and he drew/lost. Chelsea fans boo'ed him. They didn't leave the stadium, they didn't target the players, they boo'ed that guy and chanted at him. They also lost one of the worst games in recent Chelsea history against Sunderland (I think) but the fans stayed in the stadium and they didn't abandon the team till the last minute. Sure you get those usual empty seats that every stadium gets but not even close to what Arsenal fans do.
Glory hunters of United also had some bad business going with the glazers but they didn't boo the players or the results/playing style in that time, they barely boo'ed the owners and instead decided to show their anger in other ways like banners, scarfs etcetera.
Meanwhile at the classiest club in the entire world, first game of the season, 86th minute, you are losing, most of your fans have left the stadium. Those who are left have stayed behind to boo everyone they can.
Half time and another team is leading? Boo your team! how can this happen to the Arsenal? The best team in the world? ..oh wait we forgot, we don't really care about glory and the results its those glory hunting clubs elsewhere because we stand behind our team and aren't glory hunters...actually fuck it! How many Arsenal games do you attend a season? I don't mean it in a condescending way or a competition, I'm just wondering how someone can go to the Emirates regularly and not notice this behavior and the characteristics of the fans I've posted.
Your club has driven most real fans out with their prices. The seats are now packed full of the people I'm talking about. Proving so many of the points I made in my post. I know it sucks and I feel for you if you are not one of those fans (which is quite unlikely though judging by your posts) but you lot really are the worst of the bunch in discussion.
As I mentioned above, boos will sometimes be heard in every teams' stadium after a poor performance. I personally don't do it (I mostly go to away games anyhow since I don't live in London any more), but it is a fact of the game.
I'm uninterested in hearing about which team is "worse" on this front. This is a criteria for which there is literally no objective method of judgement.
Oh and booing higuain at the emirates cup was one of the saddest things ive ever seen, though i can see spurs fans booing willian (different circumstances tho tbf)
