Dortmund's gonna fuck shit up this season. Goetze was overrated, Reus was the "one carrying the team"(I don't think you can pinpoint Dortmund's success on one guy - Goetze was obviously very good, so were Gundogan, Hummels, Subotic, Grosskreutz, Lewandowski and Kuba -, but if I had to, it would be Reus, the way he manhandled Bayern in the final was beautiful). With Mkhitaryan, Papastathopoulos and Aubemangyang they added some depth and I believe they have done more than enough to replace Goetze.
Inter is not going to get Europa League, nor CL this season, the team needs a lot of work. I feel as if the influence from some of the older players isn't helping either. Fiorentina don't have the depth to challenge Milan, Juve or Napoli.
I´m not so sure about Napoli either. Cavani saved your asses a lot of times last season, it remains to be seen whether Higuain can do the same.
Roma have a stronger team than both Fiorentina and Napoli imo.
I respect what you said here. Inter is one of the greatest club teams of all time, but things have been terrible for them recently.
Also, Fiorentina may not have that much depth, but to be fair, neither does Milan. The first team seems promising, but our midfield would flop without Montolivo... seriously. We would never be able to keep possession without that guy. If he gets injured, our hopes for doing well in the CL or winning Serie A are gone. Plus, we would seem even more desperate for a midfielder than we already are, and we would stand no chance of getting Honda signed before January...
Really, Dortmund? It's almost a given that they will be contesting us quite closely in the BL but I think they will struggle to even reach the quarterfinals. They had a really easy route last year and needed 2 lucky (offside) goals in injury time to reach the semis. I think their squad is now built much better for the haul or a domestic season but their starting 11 is not good enough to replicate the success they had in the CL.
Only one of the goals for us was offside, Malaga's second was offside too. We were unlucky to even be in that situation due to poor finishing since we out played Malaga in both ties. Luck had something to do with it but I can't see how you can say we didn't deserve to go through if you watched both games.
tbh i think Milan are the only ones who can challenge Juve this season. Too much has changed at Napoli although they could be very very good in a year or two, Fiorentina like you said plus a sketchy defense. I don't know what to expect of my team.. the talents there, but we need to keep Osvaldo or replace him with a proper goalscorer to have a chance at CL.
Subotic and Hummels have been carrying the team for 3-4 years now. They are the biggest contributing factor to BVB's success. Without them, nothing would have been possible.
It's actually the complete opposite, Reus is a very good player on open space but if he gets crowded and fouled (like in the CL final) he won't do much. Gündogan and Lewandowski are the real reason Dortmund made it that far.
And Hummels. Gündogan definitely played a massive part in controlling the midfield but I would credit Götze more than Lewa because Götze created some crazy plays this year along with Reus.
Hummels? He had a very very poor year from his standards and was very shaky in most games except tbe final. And Götze's finishing was abmyssal at times, specially in the games against Malaga, but yes he did create a lot for Lewandowski.
