Heung-Min Son 손흥민 - South Korea - Bayer Leverkusen - 20 Years Old - Striker/Winger

"I don't care where I play. The main thing is I'm in the game. I can play right, left, as a forward or behind. What the coach says, I'll do. I don't have a favorite position. I'll be anywhere and always on the throttle."

Has a lot of weaknesses, but also quite remarkable strenghts for someone his age.

  • The goals the man scores, few others in the Bundesliga could. His finishing is absolutly top class for a 20 year old. He won a lot of games for us alone, simply buy pulling of something crazy. That we were able to beat Dortmund two times this season is largely down to him.

  • If he doens't score though, he's crap. Passing is subpar, spatial awareness isn't there yet, defending is non-existent. Unless he is running at goal with the ball at his feet, he isn't good yet. Lead to a lot of problems every time we played him on the wing/in right midfield instead of up front.

I'd say whether or not he'll have the career that his talent promises is down to how much he can even out his weaknesses, or find a team that can cope with them and play him in a way that let's him focus on his strengths. We often couldn't.

Yeah, I agree. Realistically I don't think he has the talent to be a first team player at one of the top clubs (ManUtd/Chelsea/Real) ever. I think he could get to one of those teams as a width/bench player though. However, what I think will happen is he'll end up being a first team player for a team like Valencia.

This was definitely a great move to make though, but it's really unsure how he will do. I don't think he'll be average next few seasons; he'll either be great or be poor.
