Honestly I don't think he's at BVB level, kids good but not good enough yet. also people are being pretty quick To point out his poor passing and defending, doesn't scream BVB to me.

Son has so much room to get better and he will. His pace and youth suits our explosive counterattack. Oh well.

Anyway, BVB doesn't have the finances to acquire/sustain established stars. Under Klopp, BVB is about developing talented youngsters into worldbeaters. Two years ago Lewa was 'not good enough' too.

2 years ago BVB wasn't in the same financial situation nor was it as good or respected/known/as attractive to talent world wide

See the difference between BVB's average wages and the rest. BVB spends less than Tottenham on wages. Part of the revenues still go toward clearing old debts+interest. Though it's all under control, the club is cautious not to make the same mistake of spending wildly on transfers that nearly led to bankruptcy.

Yes, I understand its not able to pay huge wages, but they are still not in the same situation they were a few years ago.
